I feel this needs to hit the grid 🥹 Very proud to announce two of the images from “Sibling Love” have shortlisted for the “Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize 2026” by the National Portrait Gallery. To even be shortlisted, with thousands of photographers internationally entering, is something I’m very proud of. Now on to the physical judging! Team, we getting there!! ❤️

*Bit of a soppy post incoming* Last night was a night filled with talent, support and love at the Portrait of Britain Volume 8 Book Launch. The amount of amazing and beautiful photographers I met, both new and old, I will cherish. ❤️ So overwhelming to see how our image has been loved by many and it was so special to hear that. Check out all the shortlisted and winners because all are so beautifully captured. Thank you again to the whole team @cheriwearsclothes @akucbol @yanfuego @nanaboakyeamaniampong @opheliaa_.x @by.olisa @chanellekaren @bayobrahms for making my literal dream come true. I’ve made long life friends from this project and this won’t be the last time we create something so beautiful 😍 huge love to you all, you have no idea. It’s great to be young, black and talented. The fact people were surprised we all came together that day for the first time and created this, shows exactly what we wanted to show. Black unity is one of our many strengths. To @chanellekaren and @aprilhalldop for coming and showing so much love and support to me as always. Being able to celebrate with you both as my closest friends, I feel blessed. Started from the bottom now we here.. 🥹 I am PROUD to announce I am one of the winners of Portrait of Britain Volume 8. (Hardest secret I’ve ever had to keep) This achievement means so much more than you can imagine. I told my dad last year, on a drive home past @jcdecaux_uk screens of last years winners - “I’ll be on that next year” and how my dream has come through. To make the winners list of Portriat of Britain is such a sign of success and validation of my craft! Firstly, I want to thank you the amazing team that help me create this image. Without yall, none of this would be possible. Sibling Love BTS. A group of 9 Black Creatives with a vision, made our way down to Camber Sands. 50MPH winds were winding and the sand was sanding. But I couldn’t have asked for a better day with the best people. The vision was created and I can’t wait to share the pictures. We can’t believe it’s already been a few weeks since our trainees graduated from the programme! We’re celebrating their hard work by sharing some brilliant images from their commercial briefs 📸.⁠ ⁠ In this post, we’re sharing work created by Olisa (@by.olisa)⁠ ⁠ "I'm 23, from Nigeria, and a recent Accounting graduate. I applied for this⁠ programme because I knew the corporate world wasn’t for me. I wanted to fully explore my passion for photography.⁠ ⁠ I wanted my commercial brief project to focus on portraiture and location-based shoots, with a cultural organisation tied to my interest in Black⁠ history. This led me to work with the Black Cultural Archives @bcaheritage, where I documented their youth forum members and events. The biggest challenges were scheduling shoots and directing my first long-form video, which I edited entirely myself."⁠ ⁠ Be sure to follow @by.olisa to keep up with their journey! ⭐️

What a night! ✨⁠ ⁠ We had such an incredible evening celebrating 5 years of The Photography Foundation and our amazing Class of Autumn 2024 at the Fujifilm House of Photography @fujifulmuk 💫⁠ ⁠ We showcased brilliant work from our newest graduates, Ramu @_ramzpov, Daniel @trimalchioh, Olisa @by.olisa, Luke @lukepremdas, Joshua @josh.aa01, Hamda @shotbyhamda and Dawson @kv.visionz, alongside the talents of our growing alumni community, and honestly, we couldn’t be prouder. ⁠ ⁠ 7 training programmes, countless talks, workshops, and outreach sessions later – we’re still buzzing from how far we’ve come.⁠ ⁠ Massive love and thanks to everyone who’s supported us since we began our journey in 2020. Before wrapping up their training, our trainees got the chance to visit Big Sky Studios @bigskystudios and what an experience it was! 💡 From exploring the different departments and seeing how the day-to-day runs, to chatting with teams and asking all their burning questions about the industry (and the commercial world!), it was an eye-opening visit. They even got to catch up with one of our alumni, William, who’s now part of the Big Sky crew. It's always inspiring to see where the journey can lead! 📸 Big thanks to Silje and the Big Sky team for welcoming another cohort and giving them such a warm and insightful tour. Until next time! 💙
