With a name that instantly evokes the world’s most famous detective, 221B draws direct inspiration from Sherlock Holmes’ iconic address on Baker Street. But rather than leaning on overused detective clichés, @by.whatever & @alcoven approached the rebrand of this heritage private investigation firm with a distinct mission: to modernize its identity while paying homage to its legacy — all with subtlety and restraint. Excited to share branding for our friends at @unisunstudio. Love working on music and art related brands. Had a lot of fun playing with the word and how it’s almost an ambigram. It uniformly reads upside down and right-side up with a touch of motion. The new whatever.studio site is live! @by.whatever - https://whatever.studio Over the last year we’ve been rifling through folders and gathering our assets. Going through our last 6 years in business made us realize how lucky we are to have worked with such talented people across all digital mediums. We want to take this time to say thank you to all of our clients, friends and collaborators that made this possible. More work to come soon as well as updates to the site 😊 Photography: @leahwendzinski Development: @buena______suerte Development: @allanpooley.dev Copy: @goodsense.consulting . . . . . #graphicdesign #design #fonts #designstudio #webdesign #creative #art #typeposter #graphicdesigner #artwork #branding #logo #whatever #typography taken in Chicago, Illinois by @by.whatever

Leather Letterpress for a watch case. Curated watches and wrist wear auctioned daily. Working closely with their founder, we aimed to create a luxury brand feel, without the stuffiness of the industry leaders. Whatever is an ethos. Its our only rule. It means we dont sweat the small stuff (but we do sweat the details). We always lead with yes, and because were a group of makers who believe no challenge is without a solve. Whether you need a team leader or a consultant, were chameleons flexible and eager to hit the ground running. Put simply: whatever you need, we’ll meet you with thoughtful, sophisticated, compelling work. #graphicdesign #design #art #designstudio #agency #studio #graphics #photo #photooftheday #réel #reels taken in Chicago, Illinois by @by.whatever
