In December 2024 is was diagnosed with multi follicular papillary thyroid cancer + I had to tell myself it’s another thing to get through, another challenge to overcome, it’s another chapter to my testimony 🙏🏾

March 18, 2025 I had a total thyroidectomy + I couldn’t have anticipated how that experience would shape or change me, I still don’t know entirely

I don’t complain or make a fuss because I’m the one who gets through challenges + holds it all together. That’s who I am + how I’m expected to be . . . which in hindsight is a good thing + I’m grateful for that gift. But . . .

I am only human, not superhuman. Idk why I feel like I need to be anything more than human. Hold in + manage more than I can physically, mentally + emotionally handle.

In this new chapter, I’m giving myself grace because I never do + never have before. I put everything before myself but God is telling me to put myself first + let him lead . . . okay God. by @bydevintaylor
