I was living a life that was successful on paper.

Oxford degree ✔️
Law school ✔️
Qualified lawyer ✔️
Good salary ✔️
Professional job title ✔️
House and mortgage in SW London ✔️

And don’t get me wrong, I’m incredibly grateful for all of it and believe all of our lifers experiences serve to shape us.

But somewhere along the way, after having my kids, I realised that a life that looks good on paper isn’t necessarily the same thing as a life feels good to live.

So I pivoted. I left law. I relocated my family to the beach in Brighton. And I spent a very long time educating myself about alternative business models that might serve me better.

40,000 people a day visit Disneyland Paris so how did we get it to ourselves??

Walking down Main Street, seeing the castle and taking all the photos we wanted uninterrupted was a pinch me moment 🥹

So I’m sharing the greatest Disney hack of all…

Book an 8:15am slot for the character breakfast at Plaza Gardens which is in the main park. You are then allowed to enter the park at 8am which is half an hour before Magic Hour opens. Get to the front of the queue for 7:45am and chances are you will be the very first people into the park that day. How special is that??

Make a beeline for the castle and snap away getting all those uninterrupted photos before heading to your breakfast! 💪 📸

Not the salary you think you need. What would genuinely make a difference?

School runs? Holidays? Working from home? Flexibility?

3. What could I build alongside my current life?
Rather than trying to squeeze motherhood around another full-time job.

Be honest with yourself and think outside the box as it is possible to create the life you want instead of the life you think you should have.

I was one of them for years. Showing up at the office every day with a smile on my face and an exit plan quietly building at the back of my mind. Too scared to say it out loud. Too scared to admit it to myself some days. Before I finally left for good six years ago I sat in silence thinking it every single day. Looking into returning to uni. Anything but facing the real question I was too scared to ask myself.

And here is what nobody tells you about that phase.

You feel completely alone in it. Like you’re the only one questioning everything. Like every other woman figured out how to be happy at their desk and you somehow missed the memo.

You are not alone. You’re not even close.

There are corporate mums right now researching business ideas while their family sleeps. Knowing they have the drive to build something but society convinced them they’re not ready.

If that is you I need you to know something. You’re not crazy. You’re not going through a phase.

You’re walking up and there are more of us out there.

That tug you are feeling is there for a reason. Please do not ignore it. You do not want to look back and wish you had done something about it. I am so glad I did.

I left my corporate desk with zero business running experience and have replaced my lawyers’ salary online. This is where corporate mums who are done staying quiet finally find each other.

Disney Day in Orlando!! 🇺🇸

In case you hadn’t guessed it yet, Convention was incredible and having a team Disney day was the cherry on the cake.

I am one of those annoying people that LOVES Disney so to scream and laugh on rides with the girls in our team I’d hung out with at convention was all sorts of special 🫶

It was also a real “pinch me” moment as I can’t actually believe this is my reality. I just kept thinking “imagine if I hadn’t said yes to @iamcarolinehamza when she asked me to join this “funny little online travel thing” in her kitchen a few years ago 🤯

Grateful yes. But also proud as I know how hard my team and I work.
