A little glimpse into the journey of bringing Saison to life, now shared with @voguemagazine 💓 So much of this space was imagined long before it existed, and it took an extraordinary team to turn that vision into something real. A huge thank you to my collaborators and dear friends @studio__ntl, who so beautifully brought this space to life alongside me. Looking at these photos, it’s almost easy to forget that we demo’d the space ourselves. It was the first phase of this journey, and I’m so glad I got to share it with you two. Thank you @voguemagazine for sharing the story, and @katesjordan for these stunning photos ✨ by @bysaison
Thanksgiving pre-orders are open! 🍂 We are so excited to offer two beautiful bakes for your Thanksgiving celebrations — our Pumpkin Pie Frangipane Cake (GF) and a lovely Salted Caramel Apple Galette. Both bakes are available to order on our website for pick up at the bakery Wednesday, November 25th. We will be open that Wednesday with special items on the counter and in the fridge (cranberry plum sauce, cheeses, olives + more) for last minute needs! Truly can’t wait to enter our first holiday season and bring lots of magic your way 💓 by @bysaison
Our Halloween ghosts will be on the counter this Friday and Saturday! Pumpkin spice cupcakes topped with chocolate ganache and meringue — gluten free and dairy free :) by @bysaison
Moments from yesterday’s NYC Bakery Run💓 What a fun morning at the bakery. Huge congrats to all the runners and thank you @tipsternyc for including us on the route! Special shoutout to the best team ever at Saison — every day is a marathon in our kitchen and I love our team so much 💓 by @bysaison
What Would It Look Like to Make Space for People to Be More Than What They’ve Been Through? This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I’m reflecting on what it means to support survivors beyond the hardest chapters of their lives. Through To Be Seenn’s recent collaboration with Saison Bakery in Brooklyn, I was reminded that care can look like creating space for creativity, connection, and the freedom to simply be. I’ve shared more about the experience and the power of experiential philanthropy in my latest Substack piece. Read the full story via the link in my bio. by @bysaison
A little autumn baking lately 💓 It’s our first cozy season at the bakery and I’m so excited for you to try what we’ve been dreaming up over the coming weeks — a pumpkin smores cake, beautiful autumn jams, brûléed fig rice pudding, pumpkin frangipane slices and a special tarte tatin for Thanksgiving. Come visit us 💓 by @bysaison
Our first ever pop-up at Saison ❣️ This Saturday, we’re so excited to welcome @vertecouture to the bakery. A sustainable brand celebrating the art of slow living through upcycled clothing and accessories, each one-of-a-kind piece is handcrafted right here in Bed-Stuy by vintage lover and stylist Esther Thiane. Esther will also be bringing her beautiful shell jewelry, made with shells she handpicked in BC. Come discover something special and perhaps there will be a surprise new cake too! We can’t wait to see you 💓 Saturday, October 17th

@bysaison began with a garden that refused to stay outside. Sammy Rees spent five years turning its herbs, vegetables, and flowers into boxes of homemade treats, baked in her apartment and delivered across New York. In July, she traded the delivery rounds for a counter of her own. Fruit-laden cakes, scones, and frangipane tarts fill it with whatever the season does best. Flourless chocolate cake topped with shiso crème pat and whipped cream on the counter this weekend! Our lovely neighbor dropped off freshly picked shiso and fig leaves, grown in Bed Stuy, which are making their way into beautiful bakes this weekend ❣️ by @bysaison

Meet our new fall menu items! A decadent flourless chocolate cake topped with earl grey cream (gf), the coziest apple spice coffee loaf (gf/df) and a caramelized banana spice cake that is one of my favorite bites ever and is our first vegan offering (v/gf) ❣️ These items are available on the counter as weekend specials and the banana cake comes out closer to 10am! by @bysaison
