This collection comes from the metaphor of seeing ourselves as hot air balloons: objects that feel both powerful and playful. Hot air balloons can only take flight when they have expanded to their fullest size, and they serve as a reminder that we can only reach our fullest potential when we allow ourselves to take up space and embrace our truest selves.

Thank you so much to everyone who was a part of this project. I could have never imagined I’d get to work with so many incredibly talented people to create something so magical. Seeing my collection brought to life in this way was truly one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you for all the love.

Hi! I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself. I’m Sarah Skelly, I’m a St. Louis-based fashion designer who specializes in making clothing that celebrates personality. I started sewing when I was about 12 years old, making clothing for my American Girl Dolls. I vowed to never lose the whimsical side of myself and I want my clients to do the same.

I’ve shown my work at @omahafashionweek, @kc_fashionweek, @gent.stl, and more. I also have experience in costume design through two incredible summers as an intern at @themuny and as an assistant costume designer at a local community theatre.

My goal is to provide a safe space for people to embrace the truest version of themselves while supporting a small, slow fashion designer.

I also wanted to let you all know that my new website is live and invite you to take a look - link in my bio!
