The Bags for Baggage Inspirational Experience was one of those rooms.

Hosted at @thevaultluxuryresale , this experience brought women together for something so much bigger than designer handbags. It created space for conversations surrounding healing, self-worth, sisterhood, and the emotional baggage we sometimes carry long after we’ve outgrown it.

I had the opportunity to step into the room as a junior reporter with @stltvchannel and speak with @leticiaseitz owner of ARTE ROJO STL, while also witnessing so many incredible women, entrepreneurs, creatives, and community leaders show up and pour into one another.

From the beautiful and talented host @mzmelfitdiva and to the powerful empowerment conversation led by the phenomenal @jadeharrellraregem. Shout out to the amazing Dj @innergyinme food by Chef Victoria McCoy of @victoriousfoods and every woman who attended, supported, donated, laughed, connected, and shared this beautiful moment you all helped make this experience so memorable!

And the impact extended beyond the room. For every handbag purchased, a gently used handbag filled with necessities was donated to a woman in need, with proceeds benefiting @fluffygrlmovement 🤍

Because sometimes putting down the baggage isn’t about forgetting what you’ve been through it’s realizing you were never meant to carry it forever.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made this room special 🤍

I had the honour of modeling in a familiar outfit, but this time on the runway instead of a field. Every detail immaculate, the whole outfit reminded me of the colour and the texture of a hot air balloon. This was such a fun piece to wear, and I almost didn’t want to change after wearing it again!

@chey3083 was a blessing for dealing with this mop of hair I have!!! She made me smile after seeing it done up and I recommend her for any hair needs you may have!

A huge thank you to @bysarahskelly for trusting me to bring life into this piece once more, and I look forward to seeing more future projects brought to life by her hands!

Night two of St. Louis Fashion Week kept the momentum going and made one thing very clear: the talent in this city is not just showing up, it’s showing out.

FEY opened the night with sophisticated design, thoughtful details, and pieces that could work for day and night. The black two-piece dress with the asymmetrical ruffle hem detail... LOVE!

Sarah Skelly brought a strong point of view to the runway, with looks that felt artful, expressive, and made to spark conversation. The colors were so vibrant, fun, and lively and worked perfectly against the beautiful backdrop by Vaughn Davis Jr.

Mays Bros. Clothiers delivered craftsmanship, tailoring, and storytelling in a way that felt both rooted and fresh. For Look 11, the model was giving a HEAD-TO-TOE Aspen apres ski moment and the way that final red dress presented on the runway... MIND BLOWN and CHEF’S KISS!

HZUCHELLI brought modern edge and confidence to the runway. There was structure, detail, pops of skin, and a breeziness in the pieces that would be at home at the chicest cocktail parties.

Crispin Mulatto gave us drama, creativity, and a styling that delivered maximalism and a MORE-IS-MORE mentality. For me, it was the jacket with the gold chain detailing and a lapel COMPLETELY COVERED in broaches. And then THAT CAPE! An overall chic and demure color palette, but punched WAY up with vibrant pops of red.

Shelby Bryn told a story, one which I had the incredible pleasure of hearing from her first hand at Monday’s opening gala. She’s a designer with a perspective, point of view, and a message—to not get trapped in the world we’ve created. A bold message that simultaneously showed up with softness, grace, and ease of movement.
