End of an era - Turned in the keys last night at Pinefield. Now I’m officially moved into my own apartment in Kalamazoo! Just me and Grosie (1st picture shows her enjoying our new windows). As a kid I never saw myself as someone who would live in a city. But I’m really looking forward to being able to walk and bike around. Let’s see where this new chapter takes me. Text me if you want my new address!

“Don’t be afraid, people are so afraid… Learn at least this: What you are capable of. Let nothing stand in your way.”
.
So glad I got the chance to work on this beautiful play with these beautiful people, especially in a time when this story really needed to be told.
.
I wanted to use a part of Joe’s courthouse/responsibility/hotdog monologue but the whole thing is too good I couldn’t pick a short piece. Other runner up quotes out of context:
“Do homos take like, lots of long walks?”

“I never wait longer than three and three quarters hours for anyone.”

“In my church we don’t believe in homosexuals.” “In my church we don’t believe in Mormons.”

“Boy, what kind of a homosexual are you anyway?”

and of course: “Cats. It’s about cats. Singing cats. You’ll love it.”

it’s a weird time to be a visible trans person. i am so thankful to live in an accepting community where i feel safe to be myself, to have so many loved ones who see me for who i am, and especially to know so many truly amazing trans people to share my joys and fears with.
remember, your joy is power!
here’s a collection of both new and old photos, a mix of my past selves and my current one. thank you to everyone who sees me. by @c.watson9

my first winter gala was out of this world thanks to my partner and my friends ✨🥂
i always love a good excuse to get dressed up, and it’s fun to subvert gender expectations 💅 skirts are fun, why shouldn’t a boy wear one?

My recap post is a bit late this year but thats okay. 2025 was a wild ride for me with some really big lows but also lots of great moments. I did a dream cosplay group (Vox Machina), went through a breakup, went to some fun conventions including my first ColossalCon (a convention at Kalahari resort!), made some really great new friends, got to become Billy Idol, be an understudy, and learn some really fun dances in the Wedding Singer, joined the board of Queer Theatre Kalamazoo, participated in my first cosplay competition, went to 2 weddings and got to reunite with friends from college at both, performed in my first QTK show, got a challenging role (for me) and relived my childhood in Annie, and got to celebrate Christmas with my family in my parents’ beautiful new house.

We also lost my Aunt Jami and Dexter, my parents’ dog who I grew up with.

I spent a lot of last year reflecting and ruminating on what I want from my life, especially in my career and in my relationships (friendships and familial too, not just romantic). I learned a lot about myself and I’m really looking forward to what 2026 has in store for me! I’m so excited to have gotten all of the opportunities I had last year and I know all the work I’m putting in will start to pay off more and more. Thanks to everyone who is along with me for the ride. Here’s to 2026! by @c.watson9
