THE NEW.

It’s not only a new month, but a new season!
Summer in the UK is ACTUALLY summering ☀️ (Hallelujah!) and the first half of 2025 is done and dusted.

The first six months of this year have felt like there were more downs than ups for me. Some days I didn’t believe that this season of sowing was producing any fruit and it was hard to push on, I’ll be honest.

But one thing this season has shown me is how much God is for me - especially in the times I was against myself! This season has given me experiential knowledge of ‘Ebenezer’ and truly understanding that ALL things are working together for my good and not ONE part of my story is useless in His hands.

So in June, I was led to do a detox as a way of departing from the old and by faith, to partner with all God has prepared and will do in this new season.

So I encourage you, it may not FEEL like anything has changed or that you’re stepping into something new but lift up your head, have faith to try again and behold the new horizon full of possibilities and fruitful harvest.

RESULTS.

Though I’ve been on a weight loss journey for what has seemed like my entire life, my frustration reached its peak in 2021 after the pandemic.

After being diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 15, the tedious symptoms that came with it seemed to worsen as I pilled the weight on. Not only was I fed up with how I looked externally - it felt like my own body was fighting against me internally.

But as I became relentless in researching about this condition and studying my body, I focused all of my attention on being consistent with the actions that would improve the symptoms, like walking and eating superfoods everyday etc.

Even when I didn’t see any results for years - my mind was made up to treat my body better from a place of self love. I didn’t hate myself back to health.

Remember Sis - this journey is all about YOU. It’s your race, so run it at your own pace 😘

The process of making gold is a long, tedious one, but its VALUE and GLOW at the end, makes the whole journey worth it.

2/2 - So from reading this scripture, I was encouraged to:

Fast. Fasting is a very powerful act to break strongholds (Matthew 17:16-21). And one thing the Holy Spirit has been showing me is that it is also an act of love to God.
You know when people say they love you, and you just see it as words until they do something that really proves that to be true?
That’s what I believe God wants from us. The act of fasting by sacrificing something we love (even social media or a TV show) is tangible evidence for God to see that we love Him and trust Him and want more of Him.

Pray. Prayer for me has been something I have struggled to be consistent in, for various reasons. But this week, a friend of mine reminded me that praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) means that even when you’re in the shower; talk to God. Whilst taking the bins out or doing your chores, tell Him how you feel and your worries. Even when that seems too difficult and you don’t know what to say or how to say it, a simple “Jesus, I need you - please hear the cries of my heart” is a prayer unto God.

Praise. He inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). Could it be the reason you are not seeing breakthroughs in the area of attack in your life is because you haven’t praised Him for what He has already done and been?
I challenge you to spend 10 minutes in your day, every day, to just thank Him for ONE thing He has done for you and as you ask the Holy Spirit to give you a spirit of gratitude (because sometimes giving thanks is hard) He will begin to flood your spirit and heart with the joy of the Lord (Nehemiah 8:10). Again, when you find it hard even opening your mouth, blast praise music in the atmosphere and it will evoke your spirit to praise Him; even if it’s done through a hum or your tears.

Everyday won't look the same and requires a different kind of approach in His presence but that’s okay, God hears you through them all.

May God help us to Fast, Pray and Praise Him in Jesus’ name. by @ca_bua

1/2 - These few weeks have been really hard for me and I found myself feeling exhausted and weary because of everything I was going through. And this morning, I felt frustrated and cried out for God to help me. I didn’t even have one specific thing I needed help with, I just needed Him to help me out of this place. And I was led to listen and read the prophetic words I had received, but I got side tracked and found a devotional my friend had made and sent me during the pandemic.

2 Chronicles 20:1-34 is where we see Jehoshaphat and Judah being tormented by their enemies who were coming to attack them. I love that the scripture states “DESPITE being afraid” Jehoshaphat proclaimed a fast throughout all of Judah.

And so, though Jehoshaphat was petrified and confused, I’m encouraged to know that he FELT the fear and sought God anyway. He didn’t wait until he wasn’t afraid anymore because he knew where his help came from and that the situation was much bigger than him.

And what struck me even more was that after receiving the instructions from the Lord, Jehoshaphat allocated some of the people of Judah to sing and lift up praises to God, and as they did, their enemies were dealt with, without them even lifting a finger to fight! by @ca_bua

GRACE 🥹

25 is a HUGE milestone for me.
It’s been a year of grieving, where I learn how to let go of the old, whilst I simultaneously receive the grace to enter the gates of the NEW.
