CANDID.

In the words of one of my mentors - “life is an adventure” and is “incredibly beautiful.”

On today’s episode of ‘Diaries of a Big Girl’, I speak on how the healing process is not for the faint hearted! 😅
It is non-linear, messy, frustrating and painful!
BUT it is so worth it.

And though it doesn’t always feel good, I love the various environments and experiences God uses to cultivate another level of healing - I’m so grateful 😭

Take a moment, reflect on the fruit that has been produced in this season of sifting and pruning because trust me - there is MUCH fruit!

I’m rooting for you sis 💕

I’m still trying to find the words to express what God did last weekend at the ORE Women’s Conference ‘In These Streets’, but my spirit is full. Overflowing. Undone in the best possible way.

To every woman who showed up; in the room and in the spirit 💗 🙏🏾 thank you. You didn’t just attend a conference. You entered a sisterhood. You embraced a mantle. You unfolded something sacred within yourself.

We gathered in sisterhood, in laughter and tears, in worship and wisdom. And in the middle of it all, God moved. Quietly behind the scenes and boldly in the room. Stitching every detail together, from hidden places to public release.

Like Sheerah, we built something lasting. Not just with bricks and walls, but with legacy, courage, and obedience. And just like her, many of us have been underestimated, overlooked, or told it wasn’t our place to build. But last weekend reminded us: the streets are ours too.

And now, I carry the words from Joshua 21:45:

“Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”

Everything He whispered to me in prayer, every sacrifice, every late night, every vision I saw when no one else was around — He brought it all together. In His time. With His power.

This is not the end — this is just the unfolding. There is still work to do, walls to rebuild, hearts to restore, and women to awaken.

To every volunteer, speaker, vendor, sister and soul that made this possible — I see you. I honour you. I love you. This wouldn’t have happened without your faithfulness.

Thank you to my sis, friend and the visionary @sharlette.e.reid

@orewomen is not just a moment. It’s a sisterhood. It’s a movement — and we’re only getting started.

Let’s keep building. Keep becoming. And keep trusting the God who is always working, even when we can’t yet see the full picture.

THE NEW.

It’s not only a new month, but a new season!
Summer in the UK is ACTUALLY summering ☀️ (Hallelujah!) and the first half of 2025 is done and dusted.

The first six months of this year have felt like there were more downs than ups for me. Some days I didn’t believe that this season of sowing was producing any fruit and it was hard to push on, I’ll be honest.

But one thing this season has shown me is how much God is for me - especially in the times I was against myself! This season has given me experiential knowledge of ‘Ebenezer’ and truly understanding that ALL things are working together for my good and not ONE part of my story is useless in His hands.

So in June, I was led to do a detox as a way of departing from the old and by faith, to partner with all God has prepared and will do in this new season.

So I encourage you, it may not FEEL like anything has changed or that you’re stepping into something new but lift up your head, have faith to try again and behold the new horizon full of possibilities and fruitful harvest.

Who Held You Through? And Who Are You Becoming?

Not every woman had a mother to guide her.
Some were mothered by mentors.
Some found support through friendship or faith.
Some had to teach themselves how to stand.
And many are still carrying unmet needs — while raising others and leading boldly.

✨ This is a space for those conversations.
✨ This is where we let go of perfection and lean into presence.
✨ This is where we become the sisterhood we all deserve.

💬 Who or what held YOU through?
💬 What has carried you forward?
💬 Who are you becoming today?

Drop it below.
Let’s start the conversation now — because someone else may need your words.
And join us in the room on Friday 25th July at @arcforestgate

Be in the room — bring your questions.

RESULTS.

Though I’ve been on a weight loss journey for what has seemed like my entire life, my frustration reached its peak in 2021 after the pandemic.

After being diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 15, the tedious symptoms that came with it seemed to worsen as I pilled the weight on. Not only was I fed up with how I looked externally - it felt like my own body was fighting against me internally.

But as I became relentless in researching about this condition and studying my body, I focused all of my attention on being consistent with the actions that would improve the symptoms, like walking and eating superfoods everyday etc.

Even when I didn’t see any results for years - my mind was made up to treat my body better from a place of self love. I didn’t hate myself back to health.

Remember Sis - this journey is all about YOU. It’s your race, so run it at your own pace 😘

GREATER HEIGHTS.

Travelling has always been something I’ve loved since I was little. I LOVED shopping for outfits and waking up real early to go to the airport. To be honest, not much has changed - except my perspective.

I would always restrict my mind into believing that the day I was a ‘slim babe’, was the day I’d start living my life and explore the world like I wanted. For years, I placed my life on pause, tirelessly working towards a more desirable destination, but looking back now, I see why it was so unattainable. It was too much pressure trying to put ALL of my hopes for happiness onto one area of my life. The more I searched myself, the more I marvelled at the intriguingly beautiful things that made me, ME.

Now - I’m still a big girl. I am still learning how to be present and enjoy the moment. I’m still unlearning certain thought processes about myself and my body. AND I still wrestle with that seatbelt on the plane chile!!! 👀
But in the midst of all of that, I’m learning how to be content. It’s the peace of knowing that the joy, the love and fulfilment I’ve been yearning for all these years - is already within.

Reaching the highest point of the Burj Khalifa was definitely a defining moment for me. It was an adventure of pushing past barriers - I wore outfits that suited my then size, I ate, I laughed, I explored and learnt how to just; Let. Go.

(PS, I was SO gassed to go up - look at that smile 😂🥰)

NEW BEGINNINGS.

2024 vs 2022 vs 2021.
Whew!!!
Not me crying as soon as I put these images together! It’s crazy seeing visuals of how quickly my life has evolved within the space of just 3 years! 😭

Let’s begin with 2021 - This is me during the pandemic aka “the ghetto”, where I had put on so much weight (didn’t we all tho?!) and just felt frustrated with the never ending cycle of hating myself. I remember this day clearly - I came back from a walk in Hyde Park and just felt desperate for a change.

2022 - My 25th birthday and the glow is evident. Not just because I was all glammed up, but because I was on a journey of love; that included forgiving, letting go, surrendering, being patient and kind - not just to myself but everyone around me. There were things I was holding onto for YEARS that I had to learn to let go of and as I did, I was filled with SO much peace and contentment. I was no longer in a rush to lose the weight, but rather embracing the skin I was in whilst ‘slowly’ working toward my body goals.

2024 - Enjoying the fruits of sowing time, consistency and love into me 🥰 Though I’m still on the journey, I’m so grateful that the smile is real.

The real glow up isn’t just in losing weight and looking physically different - it’s when everything about you is unrecognisable and changes for the better; internally and then externally.
