✅Do you want fully democratically elected CCPSA commissioners? The power to set the Fraternal Order of Police budget or negotiate their contract? What about the power to remove the Superintendent or members of the Police Board who road block real police accountability? CPOP will give the people these powers, when passed!

Now is the time for the people to claim our power over police! With each gain we’ve made in bringing greater democracy to police accountability and public safety, the Fraternal Order of Police and the powers that be have maneuvered to undermine our democratic rights. But we know the power of the people is greater than the people in power.

The Referendum for Community Power Over Policing will put power in our hands not just to have a say in how police operate, but to determine it. We must unite and raise the demand on our alders to vote yes and put this measure on the ballot.

Call your alderperson today, and join us every Saturday canvassing in Chicago neighborhoods to be a part of this historic fight!

Chicago is the wrongful conviction capital of the United States and the CFIST campaign is building a mass movement to free all survivors of wrongful conviction and police torture, holding the criminal cops accountable, and fighting to win community control of the police so that we can put an end to this issue permanently ⛓️‍💥

📣 JOIN US for a town hall on the campaign to end CPD-ICE collaboration on Wednesday, October 14th at 7:30PM at Casa Michoacán!

Since Operation Midway Blitz, we have seen collaboration on our streets in direct violation of the Welcoming City Ordinance, as federal immigration enforcement neighbors terrorize our immigrant communities. The people have stood up and fought back, mobilizing to CCPSA meetings month after month to demand accountability and transparency now!

If Pritkzer is serious about being the progressive he likes to present himself as, he needs to pick up his pen and get to work!

Gregory Minniefield is a survivor of over-sentencing. He is serving a 50-year sentence for first-degree murder in a case where involuntary manslaughter and should have been considered. by @caarprnow

The @illinoisdivestnetwork are at the quarterly Illinois State Board Meeting to demand that @iltreasurer and the entire board stop buying Israel bonds and to divest fully from genocide!

The state board continues to invest our tax dollars into companies that materially support the apartheid state and execution of destruction and genocide in Palestine. This, as well as the occupation and militarization of our communities here at home with investment into weapons for ICE.
