🏮 Moon Festival celebrations at the Mounties Club last week.

ℹ️ One of the most fun club celebrations in our local area each year as the THQCabra lions tour the club and entertain the guests and diners there for the evening.

9 lions braved bad weather that night to celebrate the Moon Festival at the Mounties.

📸 An awesome capture by one of our community members this afternoon during the storm.

Photo taken in Cabramatta as one storm was passing and the next one in the distance was rolling in.

First time we've seen a lightning bolt through a double rainbow!

🏮 THQ at the Cabramatta Moon Festival 2026.

🦁 Did you catch the lions out at the festival? We’ve just received footage of the Trung Han Qun Lion Dance and Martial Arts team from the day!

Early attendees in Cabramatta would have seen the THQCabra lions as they marched down John Street that morning, before taking part in the lion dance collaboration opening, a Mounties show, and their massive finale at night.

Watch as the lions risk it all on the high-pole jongs, along with several other impressive martial arts and lion dance performances for the crowd.

The night capped off with an awesome fireworks display as the lion dance show came to an end.

🦁 Who saw the lion dance at Mekong Mounties today?

ℹ️ The THQCabra lions hit the streets of Cabramatta today as Mekong Mounties wanted to celebrate the Moon Festival with some lion dancing.

The team came down with 5 lions and a whole bunch of firecrackers as they lit up the top of John St.

👋 Welcoming the newest restaurant in Cabramatta - Mỹ Tho 802!

ℹ️ My Tho 802 opened up on the weekend, taking over the site of the old Co Ba restaurant on Hughes st.

They celebrated their opening with some lion dancing and promotions over the weekend.

🍜 The restaurant has a number of popular dishes including their popular My Tho satay beef noodle soup (hủ tiếu sa tế Mỹ Tho), hot and spicy beef noodles (bún bò giò héo), waterfall chicken with rice or noodle (mì va cơm chiên đùi gà xối mỡ), sizzling beef on pan (bò né) and lots more.

So if you're looking for a bite this weekend, pop by and give them a try and let us know what you think.

Check out some of the performers who brought the epic 50-lion and dragon collaboration to life on the morning of the Cabramatta Moon Festival! Shoutout to the team members from THQ, Dragon Style Kung Fu, Yun Yee Tong, and Qing Fong.

It takes immense dedication, skill, and even high-stakes risk to execute these breathtaking moves to entertain our community.

Huge congratulations to these amazing performers and all our local lion dance teams who bring the streets to life every time the drums roar and the lions come out!

🏮 Moon Festival moments with Trung Han Qun Lion Dance and Martial Arts in Cabramatta.

The THQCabra lions were out in force on Sunday, flags waving, lions roaring as the sea of purple took over Freedom Plaza in Cabramatta.

Part of the 50 lion morning collaboration with several other teams, you then saw them perform a lion and dragon show for the Mounties.

Then came the finale with several routines, including 2 jong (poles) shows, a glowing dragon, the drunken lion, lions on stage, martial arts and some awesome firecrackers.

🏮 Who made it out to the Cabramatta Moon Festival on Sunday?

The festival kicked with a huge lion dance party collab, as 50 lions came out to party. THQ, Qing Fong, Yun Yee Tong and Dragon Style Kung Fu, kicked it off, before the super big lion came down with some dragons as well. Confetti flying, drums drumming, we hope you didn't miss it!

We even had a special visit by Bob Katter MP (wearing the traditional Vietnamese hat) as well as Andrew Gee MP, alongside the Mayor Frank Carbone, Dai Le MP and other dignitaries.

This Moon Festival performance was more than just what you saw on the night. It was the result of months of dedication, discipline, sacrifice and commitment from our entire team.

Every routine, every beat and every movement was trained over and over again with one goal: to put on a performance our local community could come together and enjoy.

For us, THQ has always been more than lion dancing and martial arts. It’s about culture, community, teamwork and taking pride in representing something bigger than ourselves.

There’s a different kind of pride that comes with wearing the THQ colours and standing alongside the people who trained, struggled, improved and achieved with you.
