There's something pretty special about the aesthetic nature of cacti 🌵 From their bold, geometric shapes and striking, sculptural forms to their often smooth fleshy bodies with their razor sharp spikes. The beautiful flowers that are payback for patience and care. Genuinely love cacti and the overall calm feeling they give 🧘 by @cactusloveuk

I remember rescuing this big beautiful neglected Blue Torch cactus from Facebook Marketplace, took her home, tried to help her heal and the wind decides otherwise 🥲 We did ended up with two healthy arms without scale and rot - silver linings! 🌵

Hit the pumpkin patch yesterday with the family 🌵

Use your brain 🧠🌵 Creepy stuff in this awesome skull pot (drilled to use as a planter, of course), our Trichocereus Pachanoi F. Cristata (Crested Variegated San Pedro Cactus) looks fantastic planted up like this guys brain! I love the beautiful crested formation, along with the bright yellow and green hues. Do you do seasonal themed cacti?

Anyone fancy a.... Cactus? 🌵🍺 Check out our big girl Pachycereus Pringlei (Mexican Giant Cardón) - she's around 20cm tall on the longest arm of the 3, and super spiky! 🤌😫 Although she does have wavy markings very similar to Polaskia Chichipe, her areoles and sharp spines point towards a Cardón (Yes, I know Madri isn't Mexican but I didn't have a Modelo or Corona bucket to hand!)

Check out the size of our mature Crassula Ovata Gollum (Gollum Jade / Ogre Ears) that I've just repotted 🤠 I've had this one since she was tiny (5+ years!), and she has just not stopped growing. Her thick woody stem has branched beautifully (although she is a little too heavy), masses of roots (which have been cleaned up) and she would actually make excellent bonsai stock, but we love how she naturally chooses her own direction 🤌 She lives up in our en suite and lives life next to the window ☀️

Seeing as there was a lot of love for our Pilosocereus Magnificus (Blue Torch Cactus 🔵🔦), I had to grab a quick video to show her (and the lovely pot) in all her glory!

Look at this huge mature Opuntia Monacantha F. Monstrosa Variegata (Variegated Joseph's Coat / Variegated Prickly Pear) Cactus 🌵 My sister got me this for my birthday back in August and she had seen better days, her soil was hard as a rock and she was tipping over. I would say she must be 7-10 years old, and as much as some of you would likely prune her back, I actually love her wild look. She's now living in my office, in a nice heavy pot to ensure she's stable 😀 The marking and colours are beautiful and I can't wait to see her continued growth next year and beyond! 😍

I don't know what's more beautiful, the tall Pilosocereus Magnificus (Blue Torch Cactus 🔵🔦) or the lovely pot that my sister got me for my birthday back in August 🤷 What I do know is that this tall girl (30cm / 12inch) has the most striking blue colour, incredible markings and looks absolutely lovely in our kitchen next to our beast Mouse Tail Cactus 🌵

Here's our Parodia Warasii (Balloon Cactus) re-potted again, except it's the same pot as before! 👀 The difference? In the last 3 pictures you'll see that last night I re-potted her but using these pot spacers. These are great little things, made of plastic and slip in the bottom of a pot to take up some of the space. They are 3.5cm tall, and I got 10x10cm and 8x8cm. The idea is that they take up some of the space in the bottom of the pot for cacti where the roots don't run crazy deep.

She must be getting on for nearly 6 years old now! 🌵

This is how our bedroom window looks, having slightly moved a few of the girls around 🌵

From right to left we have our new Polaskia Chichipe, our superstar Echinopsis Subdenudata that gave us 4 beautiful flowers this year, our Mammillaria Polythele, a slow growing Cereus Peruvianus, a Echeveria Purpusorum and the beautiful Euphorbia Trigona.

Each one has a different beauty ❤️
