Supercrush presents… THE REPLACEMENTS VS. HÜSKER DÜ 🫯

Minneapolis. The Twin Cities. A place defined by duality. And the breeding ground behind one of indie rocks great rivalries. 🌄

Join us at Café Blah where we will let the two bands hash it out over wax! 🎵

In the red corner we have Hüsker Dü - a noisy proposition whose penchant for the psychedelic bleeds through their hardcore roots. 📚🛸

And in the blue corner we have The Replacements, Paul Westerberg’s macho power poppers who take as much from KISS as they do from Big Star. ⭐️💋

There will also be songs that influenced the bands, contemporaries, and other Midwestern legends! 🎈💥

Who will win?

👹 A VERY CAFE BLAH WEEKEND⛓️

Due to a scheduling bugger-up with one of our venues, we are moving half our October 17th Art Market to Cafe Blah!!

One half will remain at @withypublichall and the other will now be with our friends at @cafeblah!

We can’t wait for this as it ties in our very exciting huge open call art show on the Friday night in with our Saturday all-dayer! (APPLICATIONS STILL OPEN FOR THE OPEN CALL!!)

The art classes and clubs will still be at Withington Public Hall, with tickets available through the link in our bio, and our open call is still going for another couple of weeks so have a look at our post for that!!!

(Timings for the Blah half of the market will be slightly different, but we’ll talk about that soon, all stall holders have been contacted!)

Love you!

…

One of the best things about being a music photographer isn’t just photographing the bigger names — it’s unearthing the smaller acts you might never have discovered otherwise.

@mahoganyintl are one of those bands.

There’s something special about catching an artist on a smaller stage and capturing that moment before more people start paying attention.

This is exactly why I love doing what I do. Keep an eye on Mahogany. 👀

THAT WAS A NIGHT WITH SOME BITE 🐊

Huge thank you to everyone that came last night! It was great to see so many new faces through the doors of our stompin’ ground! 🍻

Major thank you to our guest Gator, Carl, who played an absolute killer of a set that keppt the dancefloor alive and moving all night! 💃🏽 🪩

Our next event in October is yet to be announced, but as usual - we have a very special guest from the local Manchester music scene coming down to lay some heavy hitting tunes. 🎶

Until then…

See you @cafeblah 👀 taken in Café Blah by @cafeblah
