This bowl takes me back to June 2014, the first ever meal I had in Tokyo. I first saw Rokurinsha on David Chang and Peter Meehan’s Mind of a Chef, and became determined to try it when I finally visited. After arriving at Tokyo Station on a red-eye flight, I scrambled through the sea of people, almost getting lost, until I finally found Tokyo Ramen Street in B1. After a short 30-minute wait, that hot bowl of noodles and broth arrived. That first slurp instantly woke me up. It was the beginning of my Tokyo journey, and also the start of many returns to this place. When I ate it again last year, I was suddenly taken back to that first bowl: the taste, the moment, and my younger self who once dreamed of coming to Tokyo, and somehow, still does.

Another favorite burger spot in Shibuya. The aged beef patty topped with homemade pastrami at Chillmatic is unbelievably tender, and whatever they are putting in that whole grain mustard sauce is magic. Absolute top-tier vibes and the staff are incredibly nice. ✨ Swipe for timelapse process 🎥🍔

A new view of @cafe.slow , but it’s the first time I drew its facade. This spot for me is good all day but morning is best with the sunlight filtering through the lush leaves. Enjoying a nice flat white here with Dau and Cookie 🐾 This spot is one of the best places to escape the busy city for a while.
