Your Moka Pot can make really good coffee. The problem is that most of us were never taught how to use it properly.

A few small changes can make all the difference:

- Start with hot water
- Use coarse coffee grounds
- Don’t tamp the coffee
- Brew on low heat
- Remove it when the bubbling starts

That’s it!

When I tell you I was coffee high till the next morning. Pretty sure I was mouthing “exploring” as well but not sure what came out. 😂

@drinkbomacoffee is putting Nigerian coffee in the spotlight, and the brewing experience they put together is every bit as rich as the beans themselves.

From fragrant brews and bright, layered flavours to the satisfying ritual of pouring a Chemex, every moment invites you to slow down and get into the coffee rhythm.

To round things off, we took some of that hibiscus brew to the bar and turned it into cocktails. A 10/10 move!

I was also super stoked to see @barbara.onyejose ❤️

Memories of Ethiopia sent me this specialty coffee about a month ago, and somehow, I’m only opening it today. 😂

I actually got one for myself too, but I had a few other beans in rotation at the time, and I’m very particular about opening a bag when I know I can actually give it my attention. So this one sat patiently on the shelf.

Today, I finally brought it out and tested it as a latte, and yeah… light-to-medium roast goodness with fruity notes.

It makes such a lovely latte and cappuccino, and now I’m curious to see how it behaves outside milk. I need to try it as a French press and, especially, a pour-over to see how much more it has to say. The roastery also recommends it for espresso, pour-over, and French press.

@memoriesofethiopia has beans from Ethiopia, Kenya, Cameroon and Nigeria, so there’s clearly more for me to explore. For this first cup, though, I’m very impressed. 🤎

Happy International Coffee Day! ☕️🤎

I think about how coffee has become such a calming, grounding part of my life, and honestly, it has given me so much more than a really good cup.

It has introduced me to people, connected me with places. Gotten me exploring, from hopping cafés in Nairobi to exploring Rwandan, Ethiopian, Nigerian coffee beans and even beyond Africa. It has opened up conversations, communities and opportunities I probably wouldn’t have found otherwise.

And I’m really excited for all the people I’m yet to meet, places I’m yet to discover, beans I’m yet to taste and communities I’m yet to find through this little thing called coffee.

Because coffee, for me, is so much more than coffee. It is curiosity, creativity, and discovery. It is the joy of finding yet another way to make a cup and thinking, “Oh, I like this one.” 😂

And the drink itself? 💯 There’s always something new to learn, try and taste.

So here’s to another year of coffee, discovery, good conversations and even better cups!

A whole space to explore coffee brands, discover new things, shop, learn, drink good coffee… I’m so there! 😅

And then @everythingbutcoffeebiz went and sent me THIS box ahead of Coffee Pop-Up Week Lagos 2026. There’s chai, coffee capsules, candles, a colouring book, the cutest cup and saucer, and this tote bag that I’m already obsessed with and will take everywhere.

Honestly, I’m even more curious about what’s going to be waiting for us at the pop-up because this box alone had me excited!

This is one of my favourite ways to have coffee when I want something refreshing. It has that same coffee-tonic kind of energy, just without the espresso.

Sometimes I want a creamy latte, sometimes I want something warm and cozy, and sometimes I want my coffee to feel like a cocktail. And on the days I want the latter, I make one of these. 😉

I think sometimes we need the reminder that the things we enjoy don’t always need to be justified.

You like specialty coffee, great. You enjoy making your coffee slowly in the morning, absolutely amazing. You care about the beans, the equipment, the latte art, and the whole thing, even better. And maybe someone else doesn’t understand why you care so much. That’s okay too.

The opinions of the people we love will always matter. But so do the little things that make life enjoyable for us. So yes, this is your reminder that you’re allowed to really like your coffee. Also, Dave Ramsey said it best. 😂

This has to be the easiest way to make an iced latte that still tastes like coffee after the first few sips. And the only hack you’re going to need you need is iced coffee cubes.

Especially for those of us who love to savour our coffee slowly, this is the ultimate no-fail way to make sure your latte isn’t tasting like watered-down milk 10 minutes later. 😂

And here’s how I make mine:

- Start with your coffee base; a double shot of espresso or strong instant coffee.
- Add sugar to taste + a tiny pinch of salt. Froth until light and fluffy.
- Fill your glass with regular ice, then add a few iced coffee cubes. This is the most important part!
- Now pour in your fluffy coffee mixture and top with your milk of choice.

What you get is a rich, creamy iced latte that stays coffee-forward even as the ice melts. 🤎
