I’m so excited that the Knocked Sideways ARC sign-up is now open!

This is where you’d normally get the blurb and the tropes.*

Instead I’m going to take a risk and get a little bit real about why I wrote Knocked Sideways and who might want to sign up for the ARC.**

Thanks for swiping and sharing!

ARC sign-up link in bio.

*Don’t worry! The blurb and tropes are in the ARC sign-up form.

**I hope it’s you, if you’re the kind of person who’s sometimes in the mood for a sweet & spicy m/m hockey romance with a little bit of age gap, hurt/comfort goodness and a low-angst HEA.

It’s the details that get me.

The warm light shining out from the window.

The dusting of snow.

Jed’s leather jacket and Remy’s blue beanie.

The way Jed’s pulling Remy in tight.

Most of all, the way they look at each other like they truly see each other - and like there’s no one else in the world.

I am excited beyond words to finally share this gorgeous cover designed and illustrated by Sarah Corrente @queerente.

Knocked Sideways is available for pre-order! And there’s still time to join the ARC team! Link in bio.

It's the first Knocked Sideways teaser!

(Aaagh! Jed and Remy are out there in the world for everyone to see! It's normal to be nervous about this, right?)

Swipe for the bonus trope graphic I made to calm my nerves. Thanks for sharing this moment with me!

And check out my sparkly new author website (link in bio), where you can find ARC sign-up and pre-order info!

This one is up there on the list of days I would love to stop celebrating. But for now, it's important.

Thank you for sharing your stories.

And thank you for supporting queer and trans authors and artists.

New mini-tropes for teaser Thursday! And it's not just any Thursday -- the first ARCs are going out today, and wow is that a scary thought for this first-time author! I'm so grateful for the enthusiasm and support of everyone who's signed up to be an early reader. I hope that reading Jed and Remy's story brings a smile to your face. ❤️

P.S. It's not too late to sign up for an ARC! Follow the link in bio to my webpage and scroll down for the sign-up.

P.P.S. And if you happen to love Jed and Remy as much as I do, there's more waiting for you if you sign up for my newsletter! (Same link, scroll further down.) I had so much fun with their short story and I think you will, too. by @cagardnerwrites

October is LGBTQ+ history month. And while I don't read a lot of historical romance, I do have a few favorites. So if you're looking to try something new this October, may I suggest:
- Peter Cabot Gets Lost, by Cat Sebastian. - The Sleeping Soldier, by Aster Glenn Gray.
- The Evander Mills series by Lev AC Rosen (a mystery series, not a romance series, but there is a bit of romance and the books are just too good to leave off an LGBTQ+ history month reading list).

Do you have any favorites you'd add to the list?

Breast cancer and Knocked Sideways will always be linked for me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer just after I finished my first complete draft. It took longer than I’d planned to get from first draft to pub day because treatment really slowed me down.

But now I’ve been NDC—no detectable cancer—for over a year. And as hard as it is for me to believe, I’m in the final countdown to the Knocked Sideways release date (October 22!! It’s almost here!!).

I have many, many reasons to be grateful, but I’ll mention just one of them here: I found the cancer and got treatment early, which is what Breast Cancer Awareness Month is all about.

@susangkomen is a good starting point for more information and resources. And if you ever need encouragement or moral support around getting a screening or getting something that doesn’t feel right checked out, I’m here. by @cagardnerwrites

I'm pretty sure roster reveals aren't a thing but ... I love stats? And it was fun to make? So I think they should be!

(And you get a bit more of a peek at Remy and Jed.)

I'm a little early for LGBTQIA+ history month, but what the heck.

Some of my top reads in September were by A.J. Truman and Nicholas Didomizio. The month before that, Lev AC Rosen and TJ Klune. I've usually got something by M.A. Wardell or Julian Winters on my e-reader, too. If you haven't already, check them all out.

Then there are some of my all-time favorite authors who (based on their public bios) don't have a binary gender, like Kris Ripper and Jonny Garza Villa.

Hit me up for more recommendations if you need them! by @cagardnerwrites
