Slow start to the hunt meant catching the @canadiensmtl game from the blind. 🏒🦆

Got to take a few new hunters and a few new to waterfowl out for their first time. Saw a deer, got some birds, caught a pretty unreal sunset, and apparently proved you can mix Saturday night hockey with goose hunting.

Not a bad way to spend a fall evening. 🍂🦆🏒

Because running doesn’t run on vibes alone. You need to refuel to hit your goals and sometimes, that means cookies 🍪

Another register trap shoot for the books ☑️

This weekend at the Alberta Provincial Championships, I shot a personal best of 136/200 in singles. A month ago at the Canadian Championships, I shot 111/200 AND I finally shot over 20.

The scores are nice, but what I’m most proud of is the progress between those two events. Every practice, every conversation on the line, every piece of advice, and every round has helped me become a better shooter.

I’m still shooting my trusty @mossbergcorp 500. My one and only, from field to line it’s been my trusty buddy.

A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to answer my questions, offer tips, squad with me, and cheer me on. The trap community has been incredibly welcoming, and I’m grateful for all of the encouragement along the way.

Here’s to breaking a few more clays, learning from the misses, and seeing where this journey takes me.

🎯

How do people stay motivated when the weather falls between rain and hail, or attack of the mosquitos?

I have found this summer so hard to be consistent with running. I don’t want to drive to the gym to run on a treadmill but with the rain Edmonton had received this summer I just can’t keep a rhythm when it comes to running outside

The nice days we do get, it’s clouds of mosquitos EVERYWHERE

Any tips? Do you run in the rain?

Sports and events photography is one of my favourite ways to volunteer.

Rain didn’t stop the Canadian Championships. If anything, it made for even better event photography.

One of my favourite challenges in clay shooting photography is catching the exact moment a target disappears.

Every sporting clays competitor has their own routine. I love capturing the moments before they call “Pull.”

Every station tells a different story. That’s what keeps action photography so much fun.

Sometimes the quiet moments between stations become my favourite competition photography images.

Wrapping up another day behind the lens. Looking forward to the next shooting sports event.

Competing at my first registered trapshooting event this past weekend was something I’ll never forget.

It also happened to be the 2026 Canadian Trapshooting Championships at the @egcalberta, where shooters from across Canada came together despite a weekend full of rain and challenging conditions.

The scores weren’t what I was hoping for, but that’s okay. It was a great learning experience, and I came away knowing exactly what I need to work on before the Alberta Provincial Trapshooting Championships in a few weeks.

I also want to say thank you to everyone who took the time to answer my questions, offer advice, and cheer me on throughout the weekend. The trapshooting community has been incredibly welcoming, and I really appreciate all the support.

Special thanks to:
• @sarahmarthaller
• @mosquitocreekgamebirds
• @hanah_marthaller
• the juniors from @mossleigh_gun_club_juniors
• @feraloutdoorgirl
• Tracy
• Jessica
And many more.

Time to get back to the range and put in the work. Looking forward to seeing what I can do at Provincials.

IG thinks we should be friends, so let’s test the theory.

If you like the outdoors, trying new things, chasing personal bests, and occasionally being humbled by a golf ball, we’ll probably get along. 😅

You’ll usually find me sharing running, sport shooting, golf, outdoor adventures, content creation, and life in Alberta.

What’s your current obsession?
