Damascus Watersey Pair. Kind of an Waters-ish evolution, inspired by the latest Smith wrought-iron collab. I was really digging those. Sculpted and etched to reveal the grain INSIDE of the magic metal. The oxide treatment gave some nice color. Embossed brass coil covers. Meched armature bars. Dark-black oxide finish on steel/iron parts. Sculpted damascus shelf-supports. Sculpted, drop-down rear binding posts. Mini sterling silver coin contact/lock screws. Damascus McKeever Pair. The “McKeever” design really didn’t do much for me until i did those collabs with Burns a while back. I found all of these really fancy, beautiful shapes hidden in plain sight. Now it’s one of my favs to explore. This pair is out of some really cool damascus, it’s not the usual stacked-layers, the grain goes all the way through. Sculpted and etched to reveal the figure INSIDE of the magic metal. The etch is deep so there’s a lot of relief to the grain…super nice tactile feel. The columns of the Lincoln Monument from the backs of real-live $5 dollar bills pay dues to the old-timers’ money-magnet superstition. Sculpted armature-bars. Dark-black oxide finish.
