I was in London to write some songs which was A LOT of fun and I also got to see some sweet friends and then I went to Italy to eat some pasta and gelato. 🍝

Snake In the Grass: Live @theevelynhotel . It was a dream playing with Tabla and Sitar and weaving it into the world of Snake In The Grass. This song has taught me so much and I’m so grateful it gets to be the first live track I ever release.

Back in June, Melbourne-based songwriter Caisha Sprout released her debut EP Misery Don’t Want Bad Company. A four-track body of work exploring relationships in all their forms: the relationship with self, with mind and body, with time — past, present and future — and with one another.

We sat down with Caisha Sprout to discuss her blend of folk, roots and soul influences alongside the journey in which the EP unfolds through expansive yet deeply grounded sonic landscapes, weaving together organic instrumentation, intimate lyricism and emotionally resonant storytelling.

Caisha Sprout is a Melbourne-based songwriter of Indian heritage blending blues, roots and soul into a sound that is both grounded and expansive. Since her debut single “Self Love” (2020), she has built a growing audience, with releases like “When I Get Older” and “Shake!” earning airplay on Triple J, Double J and Radio One India. Her latest EP, Misery Don’t Want Bad Company has received national rotation and showcases her emotionally resonant songwriting. She has performed at Port Fairy Folk Festival and internationally with Sofar Sounds across Dubai and India.

Caisha moves between intimate storytelling and powerful, groove-driven moments inviting audiences to reconnect with the emotional core of music.

I had my lifetime’s best Taurus season, hands downnnn. Lots of friends, family, an EP and show and obvs a whole lot of fooooood (as it should be) 🤤 .
