I wasn’t sure if I was going to post this, but here we are. As some of you know, we lost my mom Lynda Healy early in the morning on August 26th 2023. This photo is from this past weekend as my dad and I spread some of her ashes in the ocean at Half Moon Bay along with her niece Brianna, Brianna’s boyfriend (Michael) and their son (Jack). As many of you know the ocean was one of my mom’s favorite places to be, in a way it’s healing, but also completely heartbreaking to have been there. Knowing that she’s no longer physically with us has been one of the worst pains I’ve ever felt, but understanding she’s no longer in pain herself is one of the things that gives me comfort. She may be physically gone, but her spirit and impact will be with us forever.

Mom, I love you so much and I miss you to my core, but I’m so thankful that you don’t have to suffer anymore. You’re the strongest woman I’ll ever know, and I thank you for fighting to stay as long as you could. I can’t wait for you to see me continue to follow in your footsteps and become a stronger version of myself each and every day. I have you to thank for helping me to become the woman I am today, and who I’ll be in the future. Love you so much, mom.

… “love you more”. ❤️ by @caitlinann09
