The beginning of the end!

Today marks the final day of color for Thomas D. Rotenberg’s upcoming feature film THIS IS NOT A PLACE OF HONOR.

THE AI DOC: OR HOW I BECAME AN APOCALOPTIMIST had its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and will be screening at SXSW before releasing in theaters on March 27th.

To borrow from the Focus Features page, the film “is a hand-made, eye-opening documentary about the most powerful technology humanity has ever created... and what’s at stake if we get it wrong.”

This doc is one of the highlights of my career, and I am so grateful to have been in the room. Thank you to DoPs Lowell A. Meyer and Jenni Morello for bringing me along for the ride, Daniel Roher and Charlie Tyrell for your brilliant minds, and a huge thanks to the entire producing and post-production team for your dedication and care with this timely subject.

Working on this film paved a way forward for me to engage with the topic and advocate for change. I can’t wait for more people to see it.

JOSEPHINE premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, winning both the U.S. Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic and the Audience Award: Dramatic.

It was my honor to not only work on Josephine as a camera operator alongside DoP Greta Zozula, but to also attend the film’s World Premiere. In witnessing the audience’s reaction to Beth de Araújo's unflinching story of how bearing witness to an unspeakable crime tests Jo-Jo and her family, the film gave me hope that the systematic injustices people face in sexual assault cases will be given closer scrutiny and potential reform.

A huge congrats to the Josephine team, whose dedication to honoring this heart-wrenching story shows up on screen in the most remarkable, nuanced ways.
