For all the times that the friend who encouraged me to read gave me a book before a flight I am completely sold into becoming a bookworm! A week ago i went to @openbookfest for the first time and before receiving the help I needed with @prevreddy on the panel ,I woke up from a bad dream -that was real. Now there’s no gas pedal for healing but diving into a book written by the voice of someone who’s a blessing in my life, certainly felt like a God send that came to do just that. And I am convinced this book kinda changed my life cause why am I re-reading another favourite book like a bookworm addict with Prevs bookmark to make it feel like this comedy-show-of-a-beautiful-story didn’t end. What a beautiful experience I’ve had journeying with this book- laughing, crying, learning ,unlearning, feeling understood, motivated ,inspired & discovering how to lead with grace even from the most hurt places❤️🌸✨🧘🏽‍♀️ by @caitlinpillay_

@woolworths_sa I’m not just a Woolies baby but the daughter of a Woolies Mum who gives me all the quality control my lifestyle needs when selecting The Difference. The real reason I’m entering this Presenter Search- my Ultimate Super Mom who started as a cashier & worked her way up to being a Manager. My Mom made me the independent woman I am today because of her hard work & determination. Now that we are in different cities I think of the times when I was back home & Mum was in Cape Town with Woolies for training for a week. Those were hard weeks going to school but I guess I learned how to think outside the box from a young age, hugging myself to sleep when I missed Mom. Feels like that now that I’m in Cape Town & Mums back home! So Mum would definitely be my Ultimate Woolies plus one to an event by our fav store for our fav season cause we can’t wait any longer for our long overdue visit to see each other. My fav Woolies story is my Moms determinination to buy me the teddy bear doggy that was in the handbag as an accessory in the kids department like 20 years ago. I was that annoying kid who cried for it & my mom made a plan. A customer returned one with a replaced teddy bear that wasn’t the original Woolies one so it got discounted. My mom has always been my Supermom who upholds the Woolies standard better than anyone I know. That’s why I say My Quality Control because Mum always knows best. Little me who was always dripping in Woolies swag still carries that style even if I’m wearing something I sewed. I once bonded with Strangers in the cinema over Woolies edible flowers cause when the ad came on I blurted out how much I love them for staying “ fresher for longer” & how that inspires more creations. So since that lead down a rabbit hole Season like The Bear of me mastering baking cheese cake & being told they ran around for edible flowers that week cause they were sold out, sounds like Christmas I’m thinking. The same way we choose quality at Christmas is the same way we should treat ourselves throughout the year. Same like the concept of trying to celebrate every day like a birthday, just adding The Difference #wooliespresentersearch by @caitlinpillay_

The making of this cheesecake felt like a new season of The Bear starring Analia helping smooth cream cheese during prep time & me watching videos about cheesecakes for a week before cracking the full code on my best cheesecake that can slow bake with no oven! Nothing hit the spot harder than finding my ideal route after having many options in studying for what felt like a cheesecake exam. On paper I’d write in the recipe for Milk Chocolate Sour Cream Icing as a topping to tie in with the traditional roots of this recipe. I love the pairing of Chocolate & can’t wait to try more ideas cause I am officially a cheese cake fanatic! Like I really get why people love cheese cake this much now🤏🏽👩🏽‍🍳it has been such an honour perfecting this! Cheese cake lovers, please make me do it again! #cheesecake #bakedcheesecake #cakeoftheday #chocolate #cakelover by @caitlinpillay_
