The yin to my yang. Having sisters and having a twin is an experience I’m so grateful for. I love coming from a family of girls. I love that I’ve always had someone to go through all life experiences with. Cait is my emotional support extrovert and cool girl style icon. When I’m struggling through life, she supports, when she is, I’m there. Even the days when we wanted NOTHING to do with each other like high school when Caitlin cried because I joined her same art class and then we needed independence so much that we went to different high schools just to experience life not as “the twins” Yet we both ended up in Boston for college and still had that family support being on the east coast to now living 5 minutes away from each other in LA. I sometimes forget I’m a twin but never really forget that I’ve got an incredible sister to go through life with

Finally cut into a mystery fabric that’s been in my stash for years, to make a wearable toile of the #bfparkerpants by @blackbirdfabrics . My body has changed a lot since my back injury, so I wanted to test the size before committing to my “special” fabric (a beautiful black suiting wool!).

I made a straight size E, shortened by one inch because I’m 5’4”.

Wore them for three days straight and loved them. The fabric gave a little at the waist, which is just natural fibers doing their thing. For the next pair I’ll just tighten the elastic waistband a bit.

It feels like deecccaddeeessss since I’ve been on this app, but really it’s only been a month? Maybe more? I miss you. Still in that funky season of being insanely busy with work, and figuring out the back issues (update- I have a ‘dehydrated’ disc AND an upgraded Grade 2 Spondylothesis of my L5 vertebra. I’m looking forward to the end of the year, and a restart. I don’t think it will solve my “problems”, but I do think there is a psychological aspect of what the new year brings- a catalyst for change and positive growth.

I’m going to look at resolutions- still loose- more like boundaries and reminders of what brings me joy, rest, and what things don’t. What about you! Is this a resolution “end of year”, more like commitments, or heck it all and it will come as it comes?
