The yin to my yang. Having sisters and having a twin is an experience I’m so grateful for. I love coming from a family of girls. I love that I’ve always had someone to go through all life experiences with. Cait is my emotional support extrovert and cool girl style icon. When I’m struggling through life, she supports, when she is, I’m there. Even the days when we wanted NOTHING to do with each other like high school when Caitlin cried because I joined her same art class and then we needed independence so much that we went to different high schools just to experience life not as “the twins” Yet we both ended up in Boston for college and still had that family support being on the east coast to now living 5 minutes away from each other in LA. I sometimes forget I’m a twin but never really forget that I’ve got an incredible sister to go through life with

I can’t believe what this little crazy idea I had once upon a time has become. @amandaa_shay took it well beyond what I could have ever dreamed and I found myself so emotional throughout the night at the display of true, authentic community and creativity. This year I had to take a major step back from RTR but this community made it into the most insane, beautiful night ever. Can’t wait to see the next evolution of this incredible event!

Ps: entire fit is vintage, thrifted, second-hand (duh!)

What is Revive the Runway? It’s an Upcycled Fashion Competition and Showcase collaboratively hosted by @thestudiobakersfield + @wildestdreamsconsignment where designers take second-hand, thrifted or otherwise discarded items and turn them into runway worthy pieces of art. This year the theme was Flora & Fauna, an Upcycled Fashion Love Letter to California because for an event all about sustainable living and thinking, what is more beautiful than celebrating one of the most gorgeous places in the world.

Still thinking about all the incredible looks from @revivetherunway.bak last night! This event is about so much more than fashion. It’s about art, sustainability, and the beauty of transforming what already exists into something bold, imaginative, and unexpected. I had the honor of participating this year with this incredible group of judges @bythatonegirl @chevysvintage @caitsnyd_sews. @not.today.ra you killed it as the emcee and looked amazing while doing it! Thank you to @thestudiobakersfield @wildestdreamsconsignment @worldrecords1982 and especially @amandaa_shay for an event that is celebrating the creativity within our community and encouraging creators of all ages to be bold and express themselves! 👚👗👖👕

We are beyond excited to introduce the incredible judges for our Upcycled Fashion Show Competition — a powerhouse panel of creativity, culture, sustainability, and serious style:

🎨 Victor Gonzales @lorenzzo.gonz – Curator at the Bakersfield Museum of Art, bringing a refined eye for artistry and innovation.

🎉 Cassandra Gear @bythatonegirl – The joyful force behind Joyful Field, known for turning celebrations into confetti-filled magic.

👗 Chevonne Frank @chevysvintage – Owner of Chevy’s Vintage and longtime curator of timeless fashion treasures. Vintage is her language.

🌿 Caitlin Snyder @caitsnyd_sews – Talent development leader and creative entrepreneur with a deep passion for sustainable fashion and fun.

These judges know style, storytelling, and sustainability. We can’t wait for them to experience the bold creativity hitting the runway.

ORBIT JACKET is finally live! ✨

This is my very first jacket pattern and honestly it took way longer than I expected.
Lots of trial and error, lots of learning but I really tried to pack all of that into this pattern 🤍

Huge thank you to all of the testers who joined this project!
Your feedback and photos helped shape this pattern so much 🫶

I only made mine in wool, but seeing the testers versions in denim and canvas really surprised me.
Those sturdier fabrics actually give the jacket such a nice structure and shape!
