I do theater and stuff. I also do school but that’s lame.

You know it means a lot to me when I make an instagram post about it, and I PROMISE this is the last time I will talk about it.

@theconeydetroit was an awesome experience, and it moved me very deeply to see an organization be able to raise so much money for the arts, and to see all of these very influential voices all advocating for that one goal. As someone who grew up aspiring to be a performer in a very art deprived country, I am more than happy to lend a few dollars to fund the arts for smaller communities because I know how it feels to have those dreams without any real means of achieving them.

I got to meet so many wonderful people (like THE ANNA GARCIA HOLY) who have been my foundation for performance, comedy, and improv, and I got to do it with some of my closest friends. I can’t think of anything I would trade for that.

I have peaked and it’s all downhill from here (I joke I joke)

I hope to be back next year, this just was an irreplaceable experience for me.

For the past eight weeks I have had the honor to play the role of William Barfẽe at Rose Above Theater Company’s “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” and it has been nothing short of a dream come true. This show is incredibly funny yet heartbreaking, and is a must watch for anyone who hasn’t seen it. I couldn’t ask for a better cast or crew to make this show come to life.

This show has two separate casts, so I will only perform as William Barfẽe on certain nights, which include:

October 10th and 11th at 3pm
October 16th and 17th at 7pm

This show is now only a month and a half away from opening, so grab your tickets while you can!! The ticket link is in my bio. Thanks to those who support me and allow me to keep doing the things I love. Can’t do this kind of thing without y’all!

Well, that’s over. Seriously though, this has been one of the most fun times I have had during a production. Perfect character, perfect show, perfect cast, perfect crew. Thank you to everyone who made it possible (Anthony, Victoria, Kristen, John) and thank you to everyone who came out to see it. Made so many friends and had such a blast, hope to be doing more here soon ❤️. It truly was a magical show. #theater #musical #cinderella by @caleb.petty.w

Yesterday, our cast performed Cinderella for the first time at Waltonwood Carriage Park assisted living!!! The folks there had a great time watching the show, and the cast had a blast performing. I’m just saying, if you haven’t bought a ticket, you’re missing out. COME SEE THE SHOW!!!! (Ticket link in bio) by @caleb.petty.w

For the past few months I have had the Honor to work with Spotlight Players in playing the role of Lord Pinkleton in Cinderella. It would be a shame for this show to go unseen, so I encourage everyone who can to come out and see it! Plus, you get to see me sing like a little choir boy, so if that encourages anyone to come out so be it. by @caleb.petty.w

Hairspray closed about a month ago, so this is long overdue, but I just wanted to post how grateful I am to have been able to part of this show. I remember going into the auditions expecting to be denied a role, and after a few not so great auditions before hand, was planning on quitting theater for a while. However, that is not what happened. As those who came out saw, this show was difficult and tiring but such a blast. It reminded me why I do this stuff in the first place. I swear this is the last time I will post about this show, but I want to thank everyone who was part of the cast and crew, I want to thank Em Rose Miller for putting the show together, and I want to thank all my friends and family who made the drive out to see it. Sorry for being sappy, but without this show I don’t know where I’d be now. by @caleb.petty.w
