One year ago this month, we came back to Florida and said yes to what God was doing at Alive Church. We had no idea what this next year would hold.
Yesterday, I had the privilege of preaching my very first Sunday message: The Power of the Truth: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth.
There is power in abiding in God’s Word because His Word is truth. What we stay rooted in will shape us, sustain us, and lead us.
Looking back at this last year, I’m reminded that God can do more with one surrendered yes than we could ever imagine.

Today was All In Sunday—a reminder that church isn’t just a place we attend, it’s a family we belong to and a mission we’re called to be part of.

We heard what it means to serve with purpose, watched people take their next step by joining teams, and celebrated life-changing baptisms as stories of God’s grace were put on full display.

Every “yes” matters. Every act of serving matters. Every life surrendered to Jesus matters.

We’re so thankful for everyone who took a step today. Whether you joined a team, were baptized, or simply felt God stirring something in your heart, we’re believing this is just the beginning.

We finally escaped. 😅

The last several weeks have been nonstop, and somewhere between church, work, and everything else, we forgot what it felt like to just slow down.
Today was exactly what we needed. Pool time, floating the lazy river, soaking up the sun, and spending uninterrupted time together. No rushing to the next thing.
Thanks for being my favorite adventure, my safe place, and the person I’d choose over and over again. I love you more than words can say… but I especially love you when we’re both floating with nowhere to be. 😉 by @caleb_hage

Another Sunday, another reminder that who God says we are matters more than the labels we’ve believed or the voices we’ve followed.

Our new series, Verified: Unfollowing the False You, has already been so impactful. Grateful for what God is doing in our church and expectant for all that’s still to come.

They say the average person speaks somewhere between 13 to 30 million words over 5 years (definitely 30 million for me!🤣)…and out of all the words I’ve spoken in 5 years, my favorite ones have been with you!

From random late night/morning talks, (even when I start the conversations way to early in the AM…I should know better then that lol) to laughing at things that shouldn’t be funny, to working through life together, every word, every moment, every memory.

5 years of loving you.
5 years of choosing you.
5 years of pictures!…(The photo dump explains that lol)
5 years of growing, learning, and building something beautiful together.
And the best part is…We’re just getting started baby!

Here’s to millions more words…but more importantly, a lifetime of love behind them!

Five years ago, we said “I do” in this little chapel… with no idea just how much life we’d walk through together.

Since then, it hasn’t been a straight path. We’ve faced loss, big moves, hard goodbyes, unanswered prayers, and seasons that stretched us more than we ever imagined. We’ve changed churches, changed states, lost friendships, and carried the quiet ache of dreams that didn’t come easily.

But through it all, we never let go of each other.

We learned that love isn’t just the butterflies and the beautiful days. It’s choosing one another on the hard days, the confusing days, the days when nothing makes sense. It’s holding hands in the dark and trusting that God is still writing a good story.

Coming back to the place where it all began reminded me of something: we may not be the same people who stood here five years ago… but we are stronger, deeper, and more in love than ever.

You are still my safest place, my answered prayer, my steady in every storm. No matter where life takes us, as long as I’m walking it with you, I’m home. 🤍

Here’s to five years down… and a lifetime to go.
