What a blessing it was to have one last race Yesterday wasn’t the ending I dreamed about, but somehow it still feels like the perfect way to close this chapter I went into the night chasing sub-4. I came up a little short, but I’m proud that I put myself in position, went through in 2:59 with one lap to go, and gave absolutely everything I had! More than the time, though, I’ll remember the people. To the 1,000+ people who came out, cheered, yelled, supported me, and made that night something I’ll never forget, thank you. Seeing that many people show up for one last race meant more to me than I can put into words. I’m incredibly grateful! Thank you to my coach for believing in me, pushing me, and being there through all of it. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey and supported me along the way. @xlr8performancelab I wanted sub-4 badly, but I’ve learned that a number on the clock was never going to define this journey. And if there’s one thing I hope came from this race, I hope I inspired the next generation to go after their dreams, no matter how crazy they might seem. Injuries, setbacks, doubt, and adversity are always going to come, but don’t let them be the reason you stop chasing something you believe in. Dream big, work for it, and don’t be afraid to put yourself on the line. Most importantly, all glory to God. Through the highs, the injury, the comeback, and everything in between, He has reminded me that my identity is bigger than running. I’m thankful He gave me the opportunity to step on the track one more time, compete fearlessly, and do what I love! What a way to end my high school career! Thank you, Iowa ❤️ by @calebtenpas5

I AM BACK Ever since I was 14 years old, I’ve dreamed of breaking the 4-minute mile in high school. Four months ago, after my injury, I thought that dream had been taken away. But after countless hours of rehab, meeting with my doctor, and giving everything I had over these last four months, I’m proud to say I’m officially back, and I’m chasing that dream once again. On August 12, I’ll be taking my shot at the sub-4 mile. It would mean a lot to have as many people there as possible. Come be part of an unforgettable night and help create an atmosphere that gives this race everything it’s got. Let’s make history together. When: August 12th at 8:00pm (gun goes off at 8:30) Where: Des Moines Christian High School (13007 Douglas Parkway Urbandale, IA 50323 United States) by @calebtenpas5

Not the ending I had in mind. Late last week I fractured my second toe racing in the open 800 I’m devastated to miss the Drake Relays and the state meet my senior year. I wish my competitors well as they represent the state of Iowa this season. God has other plans, and I’m still pointing up. Romans 8:28 by @calebtenpas5
