Those who know me beside my profession as a creative, know that I’m not just a martial artist.. I’m a lifelong action lover, especially when it comes to sword fights and Hong Kong-style martial arts. Blade was no exception. As disappointed as I was that we wouldn’t be getting that reboot, I was just as excited when „Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother“ was announced. With none other than brother @mahershalaali himself and the original director Bassam Tariq @curry_crayola

This isn’t just another action film. It’s an action film rooted in the core principles and values of the Islamic faith and mercy.
And that’s exactly where I belong.

Unapologetically Muslim alhamdulillah.

I didn’t hesitate for a second. I had to reach out to Bassam and show my support in the way I know best: as a creative director, filmmaker, or/and calligrapher.
What followed wasn’t just an incredible response like, “YOOO, incredible work, Masha’Allah,” or “I’d be honored to share it, man.”
It became a connection, and everything just faded on my mind.

More than anything, this carried that powerful feeling of being by us, with us and for us. Something that matters now more than ever. Specifically, for me. A boy from perhaps one of the worst Corners in Vienna.

This one is a huge THANK YOU to my brother Bassam @curry_crayola for connecting with me, collaborating with me, and allowing me to be part of this journey. I’m more than honored man!

Much love and gratitude to brother @mahershalaali , who literally „slays“ in Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother.
Shoutout to @amazonmgmstudios and the entire @orionpictures team.

Here it is — the first teaser poster and title reveal for my film, “From Walou.”

A project that has lived in my heart for years. Without a doubt, the most personal thing I’ve ever created.

It’s one of many stories I’ve carried with me — stories I’ve lived, witnessed, been inspired by, and felt the need to tell. Stories told from the perspective of the people I come from, the people of Sandžak.

Maybe, in its own way, this will be the first film of its kind to come out of Novi Pazar. A new genre where Sevdalinka is not only our ancient traditional music, but becomes a visual language of its own.

Even the title is deeply personal. My older brother @isamb_official has had a huge influence on me, and the stories within his songs have shaped me in ways that are difficult to put into words.

Thanks to my brothers @kaissetti @harris_ramic @haris_secerovic @happy_pixel for believing in this project. To my fam, my day ones. And thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey and continues to walk this path with me.

More information coming very soon, inshaAllah 🤲🏼 taken in Novi Pazar Sandžak by @calimaat

ARAFAH DAG. 🌙

Sirahremsen fortsætter.

Min nye vocals-only single “Sahaba” dropper på dagen hvor millioner står på Arafah og vender deres hjerter mod Allah.

En nasheed om mennesker der ikke bare talte om tro —
men levede den.

Abu Bakr.
Umar.
Uthman.
Ali.

رضي الله عنهم أجمعين

Mænd der gav os mod.
Visdom.
Karakter.

“Sahaba”
Vocals only.
Arafah dag.

READ CAPTION 2025 | الحمدلله

No word fits better than Alhamdulillah.
I was ready to quit after the damage of last year — but instead, I chose myself.

For 10 years as Calimaat, I focused on representing everyone else at their best, while forgetting me. This year, I finally looked inward, thought bigger, and allowed myself to dream beyond limits.

Doors opened I never imagined. Childhood dreams came true. I worked with — and became friends with — people I once saw as role models. I won my first film award as a director, filmmaker, and creative director.

Alhamdulillah became more than praise — it became my identity.
Grateful for the blessings and the lessons.

This is only the beginning.
2026 will be big.
