I’m still trying to process and recover from this years @blackgoatfest. I couldn’t be more proud of the @blackgoatbarberco team and what the event now means to our scene and community.

punk and hardcore remains to be one of the most positive outlets in my life and i am forever proud of the friends I have made in this scene and to continue to watch them do cool stuff from sidelines is the best feeling. Thanks for coming down to my little seaside hometown.

Thanks also to the @sticksandbonesweymouth team for being amazing as always for playing host to everything.

Here’s to next year! (Hopefully more than seven hours sleep over two days next time) taken in Weymouth, Dorset by @callanmilward

hairpin - Framing • THE MUSIC VIDEO

I had the pleasure of producing, directing and editing the new @hairpinmusic music video. shot on location at @community_noise on my trusty Canon MV700 camcorder (the same model I used to film skate videos through my teenage years).

Whilst it was a challenge to make this idea happen on the ropiest diy blue screen in existence (just a bedsheet). The time spent on this project was mostly poured into the art direction. I wanted to replicate 70s TV studio performance, most notably the effects - car-crashed and fused with 90s VHS.

The song itself is my first recorded input with the band. I’m really proud of what we have achieved alongside my brothers @adamawkwardz, @byqsam, and @pez_quest. If you haven’t already go check out the song and then music video in full.

If you want to collaborate on a video project down the road, feel free to get in touch.

@hairpinmusic - wiped in bristol. latter half of the song. not often I throw a drum video out there but always a highlight of the set for me. we’re on the verge of some new hairpin soon and I am excited to get it out there.

Hey! 👋 hope you are well. Just a brief life update. I recognise I haven’t posted in a long while. a lot of changes in my life over the last year. musically, outside of @weatherstateone I’ve been fortunate enough to be picking up the sticks again with @hairpinmusic. yesterday we released our debut EP ‘Modern Day Living’ (which you can listen to everywhere).

I had pretty big shoes to fill, not only shaking off a lot of rust, but also learning some of the great parts recorded and written by @jackkennydrums on this record. He did a great job. The songs are killer. I really enjoy playing ‘Curtain Call’ & ‘Wiped’. Hoping to be playing some more live shows this year. 😊 big love to the guys @adamawkwardz, @byqsam and @pez_quest for making it a breeze to play with ❤️‍🔥 by @callanmilward

Really chuffed to be able to immortalise our cover of this track. Fun fact: this was the first ever song we played live together on the 20th anniversary of Dookie. 💩

Fast forward to now, and to celebrate @weatherstate’s 10th Anniversary, we’ve put out a mega limited tape collection of our first 3 releases entitled ‘ALL BANGERS, NO CLANGERS’ Pick one up! ❤️‍🔥 taken in Dookie by @callanmilward
