I am determined to get this one finished before the end of August! 🧵🍓

I’m back working on Strawberry Season from @littledovecrosstitch patreon, I’m so close now that I’ve decided it has to become an August finish. 😂

I’ve loved watching this cross stitch project come together — the colours are gorgeous and it’s been such a lovely summery stitch.

🎧 I’m also about to start The Tarot Reader of Versailles on audiobook, so today’s plan is basically cross stitch + audiobook and seeing how much progress I can make. My favourite combination! 📚🧵

Nearly caught up with my Tiny Modernist stitch along! 🧵✨

Considering I only started this cross stitch SAL three weeks ago — on an aeroplane of all places ✈️ — I’m really pleased with how much progress I’ve made.

I’m absolutely loving the colours in this one and seeing all the little sections slowly coming
together. It’s definitely been one of those cross stitch projects where I keep telling myself “just one more ro” 😂

I don’t have too much more to stitch before I’m completely caught up and ready for the next part!

Some mornings are made for slowing down. 💛🐈🧵

Now that it's the school holidays, the mornings feel a little less rushed, which means there's more time for Caramel's morning cuddles before I settle down with my cross stitch.

These quiet moments are some of my favourite parts of the day. A cup of tea, cross stitch, a purring cat and a peaceful morning—it doesn't get much cosier than that.

🐈🧵 Every embroidery session starts the same way.

Before I can pick up my needle, Caramel has to make sure she's had plenty of fuss first. I wouldn't have it any other way! 💛

Once she's happy, it's finally time to settle down with my embroidery and enjoy a quiet, cosy stitching session.

I added the finishing touches to this gorgeous cosy cottage pouch by @vintagesewingbox this morning, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

This has definitely been my most ambitious sewing project so far. It included quilting, appliqué, hand sewing and machine sewing, and yes... I made plenty of mistakes along the way!

But that's all part of learning, and I genuinely loved every moment of making it. Stepping outside my comfort zone has reminded me how much I enjoy trying new crafts and learning new techniques.

Now it's time for my biggest project yet... Month 1 of Emma's Wildflower Wall Hanging (swipe to slide 3!). I can't wait to get started and see it come together over the coming months.

I'm making the most of a few child-free days before my son breaks up for the summer on Friday. 😊

I've set myself a little challenge to finish this gorgeous case by @vintagesewingbox and I'm having so much fun with it! Audio book and crafting is the perfect combination.

It's definitely taken me out of my comfort zone with all the appliqué, but that's one of the reasons I'm enjoying it so much. Sometimes it's good to try something a little different and learn as you go.
Now I'm determined to get it finished before the summer holidays begin! 🤞

The mystery has finally been solved... 🪡😂

I found the missing needle!

My current theory is that embroidery needles have a secret talent for becoming completely invisible before casually reappearing in the most obvious place. In this case? Right in the middle of the kitchen floor... where I swear it definitely wasn't the day before!

Please tell me I'm not the only one this happens to. Have you ever had a needle, pin or pair of scissors disappear, only to turn up somewhere completely unexpected?

An early start this morning meant I could fit in a little cross stitch before the day properly got going. 🧵📚

I've got my audiobook on, a cup of tea nearby, and I'm working on Strawberry Season by @littledovecrossstitch . It's been really nice just enjoying other people's patterns for a while and taking the pressure off.

I think I'd forgotten how much I enjoy these quiet moments.
