@vanityfair did a piece on my new film The Prince. I was able to speak with David Canfield about the themes and statements surrounding the film. I tried to set the record straight on what the film is and isn’t about. I discuss my influences for what Canfield calls a bravura final scene and a bunch more.

There’s lots more to be said on many of these topics.

Check out the piece in Vanity Fair. by @cameronvanhoy

Buddy Duress has been on my heart ever since his passing. He was a special kind of guy who came into your life like a whirlwind, and left a lasting impression. We became fast friends after working together. Every time I’d go to New York, I would visit him. Sometimes those visits were at Rikers Island, other times they were at his mom‘s house. On camera he was like a wild animal, majestic and unaware of himself. That’s why he was so captivating to watch. Everyone knows about his troubles, but I’m no one to judge the pain others bear in this life. We were born on the exact same day, both to Italian mothers from New York and we shared a love for making movies. I pray he finds peace. by @cameronvanhoy
