“I love that word ‘inheritance’ primarily because, as a Filipino, I’m a product of everything that has been put in me,” says @RajoLaurel of his Lahí couture collection, created in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry’s Malikhaing Pinoy program.

Presented on the rooftop of the Dusit Thani in #Bangkok, the collection is a mélange of archival designs and new works, drawing inspiration and materials from across the archipelago. Tawi-Tawi and Sulu weaves, Benguet-crafted skirts, Fernando Amorsolo’s muses, Cordilleran dress, and the Filipiniana are reimagined and adorned with capiz, pearls, raffia, and abaca. Laurel describes the result as “this living, breathing being” shaped by generations past and present.

MORENA est un film documentaire réalisé par Steve Won (@steve_won), produit par KAIZEN STUDIO ( @_kaizenstudio ), avec Camille Robiou Du Pont (@camillerdp) à la direction de la photographie. Tourné aux Philippines, le projet raconte le parcours d’Ikit Agudo et de sa sœur, deux figures inspirantes qui revendiquent leur identité et leur beauté naturelles.

À travers le surf, le film explore des thèmes universels comme l’émancipation, la confiance en soi et l’acceptation de son image. Une histoire née de la rencontre entre le regard intime de Camille, qui documente Ikit depuis plusieurs années, et l’approche documentaire de Steve.
