Today, we are celebrating with prayer, speeches, poetry, food, music, singing, dancing, and art, the Black enslaved American people who made it through and touched a form of FREEDOM. We are also remembering those who lived and died as slaves while praying for freedom that never came.

Thank you to the brave people who stood then and who stand now for FREEDOM and EQUALITY, those who fought then and those who are fighting now. There remains work to be done. #juneteenth by @cammah317

I'll be handing this Bad Bee off to her new owner tomorrow. Slow first month, but I am patient. by @cammah317

Finally cast my ballot! I was waiting for my and my daughter's schedules to sync. We have voted together ever since she cast her first ballot 10 years ago. We were almost down to the last minute of early voting, but we got it done! by @cammah317

I began a small garden on the sunporch in early July. In late August; I moved everything to the deck and the sun almost took everything out. Burned the leaves and everything. I ordered a cot tent and put them inside of it on the deck to give some shielding from the sun. A lot of the plants replenished, but the cucumbers and carrots seem to be all gone except for one small sprouting, and the beet plants are nominal. The rest are doing pretty well, although I should have removed some and replanted in separate containers so there is overcrowding. I'm too afraid to try now. I'll be setting up a second tent for fall planting soon, as well as doing some indoor planting in the sun room. I'll just keep trying until I reap a decent harvest. #amateurgardener by @cammah317

So this happened tonight. I was honored during a Juneteenth proclamation for organizing the Juneteenth event for the city annually. This year, it's being held at Northlake Mall from 11 am to 5 pm. It's FREE. Come out and support the performers, the remaining mall stores, and the vendors #Juneteenth #tuckerga by @cammah317

The @beyondthegatescbs cast is phenomenally talented!!! I'm so happy that I got to see them earlier tonight! by @cammah317

I just had one of the best evenings listening to live music from a music circle at a birthday party. The birthday boy, J R Toad Langwell, and his musician friends were soooo good! Here are clips of some of the songs. Enjoy! by @cammah317

I saw a great play tonight at @onstageatlanta . Atlanta and the greater metropolitan area has such a wonderful array of community theatres and I support as many as I can in addition to my own theatre home of @mainstreettheatre in Tucker, GA. #supportcommunitytheatre #supportthearts by @cammah317

Today, I was able to see the Buddhist Monks on their walk for peace. It was serene and beautiful to have so many people from different walks of life come together and find joy. I pray that we all feel this much peace and joy throughout the year. #walkforpeace #walkforpeace2025 by @cammah317

Happy New Year family and friends! It's been a tough year but it was nice to reflect back and see that I also found moments of joy. Praying that we can all find more joy and more peace in 2026. by @cammah317
