If you're planning your visit to The New Forest, it's important to follow The New Forest Code to help protect this beautiful and unique landscape. These guidelines ensure the safety of both visitors and wildlife while preserving the area for future generations. Here are the key points to remember:

1 - Keep your distance from the animals – don’t feed or touch them *
2 - Take home litter and dog waste
3 - No fires or barbecues *
4 - Keep dogs under control. Don’t let dogs approach or chase any animals
5 - Park only in car parks
6 - No wild camping
7 - Stick to the permitted cycle tracks
8 - Drive with care – animals on the road!
9 - Help wildlife by keeping to the main tracks

* Failure to comply may result in a fixed penalty of £100 or being taken to court and a fine of up to £1,000.

You don’t have to stay overnight to join The Haunting at Holmsley on Saturday 31st October. Our day pitches are £28.50 for up to six guests, so you can make a day of it with family and friends! 👻

A standard grass pitch is yours for the day. Park up, put up a gazebo or tent, decorate your space and settle in for the celebrations. Expect arts & crafts, a spooky trail, a silent disco, live music, a quiz, food, a bar and a fancy dress competition. Don’t forget your costumes! 🧙

Once the evening’s fun is over, simply pack up and head home to your own bed.
