A fun filled weekend to kick off the half term holidays with a camping trip @campingnewforest

(Gifted stay)

Great play park on site for the kids - most of our time was spent in here

Loads of space to camp but we chose a spot close to the toilets and play park

Great shop on site - even had calpol! Luckily I didn’t forget anything this time

Tough choice on the toy front but the kids selected these two from the shop along with some ice creams

Horses galore - we loved it, being able to walk a short distance from the tent and see the wild horses 🐴

I could definitely post a whole album of horses! The kids loved it

A recommendation was to visit the fudge shop in burley @burleyfudgenewforest it was delicious

Evening eats - we did cook a little bit but also got to try out the Saturday night takeaway option on site of pizza and cheesy chips.

We were so lucky with the weather - the sunsets were beautiful

Lots of hide and seek

The promise of pigs with the annual pannage but we didn’t managed to spot any. Luckily @hockeysfarmshop delivered

Another lovely weekend at Setthorns Campsite in the New Forest with Mum and Dad. 🚐✨

After a “quick” stop at Go Outdoors that somehow turned into a new Yeti cup and two fleeces for James, we headed into the forest, spotted the horses, pitched up and settled into campsite life.

The weekend was full of coffee chats, bike rides to The Silver Hind in Sway, family visits, campsite dinners and a cooked breakfast before it was time to wave goodbye.

Nothing fancy, just simple camping weekends with the family 💚

Camping gear we can happily recommend! ✨

We love the @outwelloutdoor Lake chairs. They’re soooo comfortable and as you can see setting them up and packing them away is nice and easy too 👌

If you’re heading to the @neccaravanshows this week and have been looking at Outwell chairs, we’d definitely recommend giving them a try!

It’s always nice to share personal recommendations for kit that just works well! Have you got any particular camping/caravanning items you love? Let us know your faves so others can maybe check them out at the show too 🤗

P.S this is still one of my favourite pitches we’ve stayed on! @campingnewforest

Please tell us your reasons too? 👀🍁

Night watchman

So for the past few days I’ve been giving the Reds a miss and (like every year) I said I would concentrate on the Fallow deer….. BUT on the way to the Lek (In areas with very high buck densities a lek (a gathering of males engaging in a competitive display to attract potential mates) may be formed.)) I noticed this Stag standing watch and couldn’t resist ANOTHER shot!!

• Spend the day with us in The New Forest 🍂 •

No plans, no itinerary, just two girls who booked a campsite last minute and decided to go with the flow 🤎

Slow mornings, woodland walks, cosy evenings with no screens and no signal just enjoying quality time together 🌿

The perfect little weekend in nature ✨

We stayed at Setthorns Campsite with @campingnewforest which is open year round and currently has 25% off autumn stays if you use code AUTUMNSTAY26 when booking 🤎

Cometh the hour.

This week off so far has produced everything I’ve wanted, the woodland is alive with sound and the atmosphere is tense, who will be the victor this year, and who will pay the ultimate price.
