A new chapter begins! 🍎✏️

I’m officially starting my journey as an ESE teacher, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m working on making my classroom a welcoming and supportive place for my students to learn, grow, and feel at home. 💙🧡

Shalom. A Hebrew word that means peace. This song that’s attached to this post from the movie David (a definite must watch if you haven’t seen it yet- @angel did amazing.) has been a song that has really hit deep for me lately. The last year or so I’ve had a really tough battle with depression, feeling lost, and wondering where God wants us. Or rather, what does he even have in store for me specifically? These lyrics spoke to me and have helped me remember that God hasn’t gone anywhere, he’s right beside us. I may not know what he has in store. But he brings me peace- Shalom. I truly never thought I would relate to King Saul as much as I do now- Hearing these words soothe me. They remind me that God is not done with me yet. In the photo I chose- these are my girls. I love them both so much, and I thank God for them both constantly. Paze, I can’t believe you’re already a year old. I love being your daddy. Kailey, Happy Mother’s Day! I love doing life with you- even when it gets hard. I am so thankful God has allowed me to lead our little family. I make this post because I feel that not only do I need the reminder of God’s presence, plan, and purpose for me- I post this because I feel we all need to be reminded of this at some point. So I pray today we all do just that. We stop lying to ourselves- and truly make God our priority. So that when we do feel lost, afraid, or empty… we realize God has never left our side. We feel peace, and allow his words to bring us home to him. Shalom. by @canaryjames

1 whole year of Paisley Kate Canary! 🥹💗 Happy birthday to the little human that has brought me so much happiness. I can’t even put to words truly how much being a Mama to this little one has changed my life. She has such a love for her family, the biggest and most genuine smile, and an intense love for the show Young David, and it truly makes her one of the most special beings I have ever met. Her love for Cheerios, Dyson vacuums, and her crib make her so special and clearly prove that she is my daughter. 🫣🤣

Happy 28th birthday to my favorite cradle snatcher (wife)!

Kailey, I love you so much and I’m so thankful that we get to do life together. You make life more fun, more meaningful, and a lot more entertaining. I’m grateful for every adventure, every laugh, and even every chaotic, crazy moment we share. Here’s to celebrating you today — and to me somehow landing the coolest woman I know. ❤️

So on a whim yesterday- we entered Paisley in a cutest baby competition… (don’t worry, we researched the competition first 😜) and she is currently 2nd in Indiana and 8th in the competition 😂
