One night we’re in Nashville watching @johnmichaelhowell play her favorite song(s)live... and the next, she’s on stage bringing that same song to life for her showcase.

There is nothing like seeing inspiration turn into action. As her teacher Lee Burt mentions in the video, this isn’t an easy feat! Performing “Carnival” is a challenge since it’s 100% bar chords! Proud of her for putting in the hard work to master it on her acoustic and for having the confidence to play along.

Huge thank you to Lee Burt and the Chris Roberts School of Music for helping her reach this milestone!

She was nervous, didn’t want a personal audience and also told me not to dress up because she didn’t want it to be a big deal (😑 and I totally get it at that age) 💕 I did, however, get permission to share this! #chrisrobertsschoolofmusic #ambielkadence by @candace34eve

Those first two were my “date” for the night ❤️‍🔥 (while Jason is in Vegas working 😉) A gorgeous and fun evening with some of my favorite people at one of my Alma Maters! Dr. David Campbell was honored – his first year as President at Northeast Community College was also my first year to attend on scholarship with the musical group “Code Six” that became “Encore” my second year. So good to see this place thriving and growing! I was proud to attend and grateful for the years and experience this place gave me. by @candace34eve

The one who saved me when I got in Voices. I had no clue how to read music; I came from singing in every little church out in the country, picking up harmonies.
As the artist he is, he drew out a template for me and even sang my notes (standing behind me in the line) when my voice was hoarse or completely gone.

I marvel at how far you’ve come in life since that time... Your voice encompassed every bit of it in this song. Every accomplishment, victory and loss. I could not have been more proud to see you step out and pour it all into that moment so honestly. (And Ambiel’s little scream at the end
Proud to stand beside you. I love you.
