Recently, I sat on a leadership panel alongside CEOs and accomplished leaders, and honestly I was a little intimidated. But there I was, wearing the name of a community God placed on my heart to build 🤍

White Coat Collective started with a desire to bring people together and send the elevator back down. I didn’t have every detail figured out. I’m still learning as I go, but I’m grateful I said yes.

Maybe you’ve been waiting to feel ready, have more resources, or become “qualified enough” to do what God has called you to do. Sometimes He asks us to start right where we are, with what we have, and trust Him to order our steps.

Whatever God has placed on your heart, don’t let fear keep you from taking that first step. Start where you are, with what you have, and trust Him to order your steps. You may be waiting to feel ready. Someone else may be waiting on what’s already inside of you 🫶🏽

If you’re new here, I’m Candice 🫶🏽 a physician assistant, single mother of two, and founder of @whitecoatcollective_ 🩺

I created this community because I know how much it means to feel seen, supported, and reminded that you belong.

The more I walk in my purpose, the more I understand why God gave me a platform. Something I share could help someone feel seen, find community, or believe their story isn’t over.

My prayer is that my testimony, my work, and the spaces I create reach the people who need them.

I’m still growing and still becoming, but I’m grateful that God can use me right here, as I am 💗

Building the community I once needed 🫶🏽

This weekend, I hosted The Medical Mixer, the signature networking experience I created through @whitecoatcollective_ and sometimes you don’t realize what God is building through you until you get a chance to stand in the middle of it.

I spent so much time preparing, pouring, and making sure everyone else felt seen that I almost forgot to stop and look around.

And when I did, I saw a room filled with Black doctors, nurses, PAs, NPs, dentists, therapists, entrepreneurs, students and community leaders connecting, pouring into one another, opening doors, and reminding each other that we belong.

And I just thought… God, I get it.

What started as an idea has become something so much bigger than me. I’m learning that obedience sometimes looks like continuing to plant, even when you’re tired, and trusting God with the harvest.

I prayed for community. Somehow, God trusted me to help build it. What an honor. What a responsibility. What a reminder to keep going 🤍
