I had the chance to accompany my dear @zuricamilledesouza to Uzbekistan for the @bukhara.biennial , in order to give shape to the scenography of her dinner ~𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘍𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘠𝘰𝘶~ and to help her cook as well, since I was in the area. I still can’t quite grasp how lucky I am to have taken part in such a ambitious yet sensitive project that is was Boukhara Biennale, whose poetic title ~𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵s~ has spoken to my soul from the very first day. I’m still struggling to recover from the beauty, richness, and generosity of this city and its people, who embraced us with their knowledge and kindness, from the restaurant’s kitchen to every street we walked through.

I had a blast going back at Providenza for a week, to cook for a workshop produced by @warppublishing and @providenza_
It was quite a challenge to nourish a family of 17 inspired souls, three times a day. But hey we made it!

Mixing Caribbean and Provençal cuisine
Mixing music and food
Did my own gelato residency
Learn the English names of pourpier, goémons and so many other plants.

I can’t even tell you the joy I felt being thanks for food by music pieces between mains and desserts.

Thanks to all for the kindness and creativity that wrap this week.

Avec @zuricamilledesouza nous avons cuisiné dans le terradou du nord de Marseille, à Sainte-Marthe pour un bivouac mis en contes et en musiques par @bureaudesguidesgr2013.

Chaque élément de l’assiette reprenait une des sauces créées par des habitant.e.s de Sainte-Marthe et le @collectifsafi dans le cadre du concours « À ta sauce » organisé à @lapres.m

Les légumes, fleurs et aromates provenaient des fermes très voisines de @le_rugissement_du_lapin et @fermedeletoile ou avaient été cueillis par les nombreuses mains glaneuses présentes pour l’occasion.

Cette rencontre aura dans mon souvenir le goût et l’odeur de la feuille de figuier. En sirop, crémeuse ou alambiquée par @bb__brune pour donner un peu de courage dans la nuit. Elle a été, tout au long du week-end, comme une présence enveloppante et rassurante.

Cet événement a eu lieu dans le cadre des @les48hagricultureurbaine auxquelles j’ai pu participer de nouveau cette année grâce @citedelagriculture . Et doublement puisque nous étions également au @letalusmarseille le lendemain, toujours avec nos barbecues et nos pompes à l’huile.

Pluies de merci aux personnes inspirantes investies sur ce projet et aux 300 autres qui sont venues manger tout au long du week-end.

Garlic braids and basketry
It was a long-time dream to weave aromatics and the incredible @renata.bricio made it true
We fried them to go alongside grilled lamb chopsticks, red curry and rose yogurt sauce and a carrot and saffron purée
