🌪️ From powerful stories to inspiring moments of connection, Friday night swept us off our feet.

We welcomed guests to the Pathway Experience: There’s No Place Like Hope — an immersive evening that brought CAP OC’s critical programs to life through interactive activations before guests entered the Emerald City for an inspiring dinner program led by our President & CEO, Gregory C. Scott.

Throughout the night, guests experienced the realities many families face on their journey toward stability, while discovering meaningful ways to walk alongside them toward a more hopeful future.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so impactful. We are deeply grateful to be building pathways to hope together for local families across Orange County.

This year, our #WeatherizationDay celebrations are extra special! We’re also celebrating the completion of our first apprenticeship cohort at the CAPOC Research & Development Center, which opened earlier this year.

Over three weeks, the team from @greencatenergy participated in intensive, hands-on training in heat pumps and electrification, gaining the skills and experience to advance their careers and meet the growing demand for clean energy solutions.

Congratulations to all our graduates! They’re now equipped with the knowledge and hands-on experience to take on heat pump and electrification projects across Orange County.

Want to learn more about our weatherization programs and the innovative training opportunities at our Research & Development Center? Connect with our team at energy@capoc.org today!

Harvest hope through a food drive!

This holiday season, bring your team, school, or community together to make a difference for neighbors facing food insecurity. Through our Hope for the Holidays campaign, you can support the OC Food Bank by organizing a physical food drive or launching a virtual fundraiser to help provide food for local families.

🥫 Physical Food Drives: Rally your community to collect nonperishable food items for neighbors in need. Physical food drives are subject to capacity, so reach out early to reserve your preferred dates.

💙 Virtual Food Drives: Create a custom fundraising page and invite your network to give. Every contribution helps fund the purchase and distribution of food throughout Orange County.

Whether you collect cans or rally your network to give, your efforts can help put food on the table for local families this holiday season.

Ready to get started? Visit the link in our bio to learn more and organize your food drive today!

Keeping the lights on shouldn’t mean sacrificing other essentials.

For Tina, a single mother raising five children on a fixed income, rising electricity costs made it increasingly difficult to keep up with household expenses.

Our Utility Assistance Program helped ease that burden, giving Tina more room in her budget for groceries, transportation, and her children’s needs.

“Just as importantly, it gave me peace of mind during a financially difficult time.”

This Energy Awareness Month, we’re highlighting how utility assistance does more than help families pay their bills. It creates breathing room, reduces financial stress, and helps families focus on what comes next.

Your support helps make this possible. Join us in stabilizing, sustaining, and empowering Orange County families today at the link in our bio.

When groceries get harder to afford, having a reliable source of food can make all the difference.

Through a new partnership with @caloptima, our OC Food Bank is helping eligible Medi-Cal recipients put fresh and shelf-stable foods on the table through the Medi-Cal Temporary Food Box Program, available through February 2027.

For our partner agency, @pathwaysofhopeoc, the impact goes beyond the food itself:

“One of the most meaningful parts of the program has been hearing community members share how comforting it is to know they have a resource they can rely on. Families appreciate being able to bring home fresh and pantry items to help supplement their groceries and make their food resources go a little further.”

By working alongside CalOptima and our partner agencies, we’re helping families navigate financial hardship with greater access to nutritious food and support they can count on.
