First day out in the wild for these new babies! I figured we’d jump in deep at RCA A with my old pal @davecobb7. Go big or go home and trial by fire come to mind. That said, say hello to our ROCLEM MEC series. The MEC31 is a single stage preamp that will be sold in kit form only. The MEC32 is a 2-stage monster that will be built by CAPI only. Both are coming as soon as we can. Thanks for patching us in @phillip__smith and so great chatting today @sharonlcorbitt !! Dave told me I look great for 72 which is awesome since I’m still 58 🤣🤣

For Sale: (SOLD)

I have a great working API 2500 bus comp here. Asking $2200 which is exactly what I paid for it.

I bought this comp to make sure our FaQ1371 or any 1731 style opamp would work in it. I found that Paul had the 2520’s feedback compensation cap set at 339kHz. Once I brought that down to a more vintage API standard of 120kHz any oscillations from the 1731 style amps were tamed.

Overall very good condition API 2500 bus compressor. Functions and sounds as new. Shows some signs of use, as shown in pics. Some rack rash, mostly on top/bottom of unit. Unit has the Paul Wolff (original designer) 100µF capacitor removal mod from the VCAs. Unit has been 100% calibrated and working as if new from the factory. Both channels have original API 2520 opamps. Older unit with all thru hole components so serviceable friendly, unlike the newer surface mount version.

Prefer local pickup but will ship domestically at buyer’s expense. ACH, Venmo or my personal PayPal (friends and family)

HMU!
