Happy Birthday to the most incredible woman I know! From getting stuck in Serbia to renovating an entire house, there is no one I'd rather go through life with. Here's to another great year! Love you @karlsbaad by @capitanbridges

Definitely the highlight of my hockey career, possibly my life, being able to share the ice with so many Boston Bruins legends in front of family and friends. Let alone being recognized as Game MVP with Bruins All-Time Great Goaltender Tuukka Rask (thanks for not embarrassing me on that penalty shot) I cannot thank everyone enough that has donated to the Boston Bruins Foundation! As a team we have raised over $35,000 which is absolutely incredible! I also would like to thank everyone that showed up to support such a great cause. Seeing so many familiar faces in the crowd truly meant the world to me. taken in Warrior Ice Arena by @capitanbridges

Saying goodbye to a friend is never easy and this one feels a little more difficult. The E190 started flying in Nov 8, 2005 with JetBlue as its launch customer. Over 2.4 million hours (almost 274 years... a number that holds a very special place in my heart) and 1.6 million flights later, the ole girl finally rests in the desert.

I always loved the sleek design of the 190 back when I started working the ramp at JetBlue. I was always entranced by how it looked like it was just floating down effortlessly on approach and a light flare to touch it down. During breaks between flights or aircraft tows, I would attempt to land the plane on Infinite Flight even though I had no idea what I was doing. Eventually, practice made perfect and I was able to settle it down relatively well on my iPhone 8. I worked several hundreds of flights on the 190 loading heavy bags and either breaking my back from trying to squat in the tiny bin or slamming my head into smoke detector casings. Though it wasn't the easiest plane to load, I still liked it a lot more than the 320/321.

Fast forward 5 years, I started flying the ole Jungle Jet and I truly gained a massive appreciation for the engineering behind this work horse. Aesthetically, the 190 was a nostalgic time capsule of what JetBlue used to be while I was still in elementary school. Used and A-Blue-sed, the interior and exterior definitely has seen better days but the jet was solid where it counted. I learned many techniques and various skills in this plane and I saw myself improve tremendously as a pilot while flying the 190. The lessons were great and the memories were even better. In a short year and a half on the plane I got to fly into the airport I spent countless days and nights, fly old coworkers and new friends, ferry a plane to a town in Mexico I never thought Id never end up in, kick a LOT of tires, eat some hot dogs at FL370, and put my favorite plane (Blueberry aka "Dreams Come Blue" or N267JB) to rest. From multiple concussions, dealing with a CVS receipt of MEL's on BluePrint, to staring at the sunset through the green hue of the HUD, thank you to the E190 for all the memories. Rest easy ole girl🤙🏼 taken in Boston Logan International Airport by @capitanbridges
