Wisconsin artist, Deb Mortl is new to our gallery this season. We are happy to carry her unique jewelry. "My work moves between two tides, painting and making beach glass jewelry. Both begin with fragments - of color, of memory, of place - and evolve into something whole. I am drawn to what is shaped over time, whether it’s a brushstroke layered and reworked on canvas or a piece of glass softened by years in water.
My jewelry practice is an extension of this philosophy; I approach my jewelry making as a collaboration with the materials I find. I’m interested in how time alters objects, how art can hold both fragility and strength in its transformation." #contemporaryjewelry #wisconsinartist #doorcountyWI by @cappaertcontemporarygallery
