as women, we live in a society designed to tear us down and apart. designed to pick apart each of our features, inside and out. we are pitted against one another and pushed into a competition we don’t sign up for. this poem is about uplifting, empowering, and coming together as women to love and be loved, on societal, communal and personal basis. one of my favorite sayings is “take all the love you want to receive and give it freely to everyone you meet”, and i try to live by that. in times like this, we need all the love we can give and receive.

a new start - a poem by me 🌹

this poem is about … poems, lol. i have so many written, as i’ve said before, or so many ideas. this poem is about finally putting them out into the universe and even if nobody really likes or reads them (i appreciate all the love i’ve received thus far <3, but if for some reason that all fell through) they’re ultimately for me. i want to capture fragments of my life in small bursts that i can reminisce on. i hope you enjoy this one :)

ok guys, sorta serious post ahead, but i’m really proud of myself. this summer i got back to my goal weight. last summer (last slide) i was down to a dangerous weight and had a lot of complications in all areas of my health and life. now, i feel so much more myself, in my body and brain, and ready to take on my days. i’m feeling myself again.
•
i wanted to post this on main because in a time where GLP-1 ads are being served to everyone left and right, i wanted to remind everyone that being healthier is much more important, functional and comfortable than being underweight. i don’t want to shame anyone who IS underweight OR uses GLP-1’s for weight loss, because i know they truly are giving some people their lives back, and some people are just naturally underweight or have their own nuances.

but i wanted to be a reminder of how ED’s are not something you want to struggle with or reach the low lows of. they are not glamorous, they are not beneficial, they are not good. there are resources out there for you that can help you gain your life, body and mind back.

this one is about my my best friend, go-to person, and platonic soulmate’s current battle with breast cancer — my Grandma Judy. Wizard of Oz is sentimental to my family, and she is my real life Glinda the Good Witch. i tell her that all the time. she is my fairy godmother. i am so lucky to be her granddaughter.
