I did a thing for my birthday that ive been dreaming about. Kayaking in a fjord in Norway. It was perfect. The mountains felt alive (first picture is of the “sleeping queen” can you see it?)
The water and air felt so clean. i went by myself and did a 4 day trip with a small group. Everyone was lovely and even surprised me with a cake and candles. My only regret is not seeing trolls, which i do believe were there somewhere. Next time🤞

I met Jen when we were 18 at Edinboro and weve been buds ever since. So many costumes and adventures.

One week from tech rehearsal for “Andy Malone”
Thinking about 1930s hair dos, a picture of my Uncle Mike from 1927, our amazing director @kaitkultur in front our home for a week @city_theatre

Did we mention we’re throwing our biggest event ever this Saturday?

Mystery on the Mon Festival
Saturday, July 18th
1-9pm

Food, bevs, live wrestling, theatrical performances, puppets, storytelling, live wrestling, a bouncy house, clowns, and a film screening! All in one day!

Concerned about getting here? Have no fear! We will be collecting intel and sending travel route suggestions throughout the week.

Spent a perfect afternoon kayaking the Shenango River with my mom and sister Michelle. What a jungly feeling river with lots of birds. Its narrow and sometimes exciting with small rapids and quick maneuvers around trees.
You can rent kayaks and get a shuttle in Greenville at @carriedawayoutfitters
Im realizing this sounds like an Ad but it was fun and probably not on anyones radar taken in Greenville, Pennsylvania by @captain_treebones

Andy Malone is written by Frank Motz and directed by @kaitkultur

Andrew W. Mellon is a household name who is celebrated for his business acumen, philanthropy, and his impact on the arts and culture in Pittsburgh and beyond. This original one act play, by Frank Motz, tells the little-known story of Mellon’s arrest and an unlikely friendship between this disliked and shrewd business man and a profoundly unbothered and financially strained bootlegger. This timely show asks us to consider the cult of celebrity, taxation of the ultra wealthy, and the influence of abruptly changing political winds. This show is paired with a bonus epilogue, written by Patricia Lowry, that provides a window into understanding this once-hated millionaire as our modern society struggles with similar themes regarding the funding of the arts and the appropriateness of amassing great wealth at a time when many are struggling to pay the bills.

@metals.and.petals will be playing some 1930s piano to kick the night off and set the mood.
