Some stories are not just told, they are layered, built, broken, and pieced back together. That’s the kind of story we’re curating.

I’m deeply honored to be co-curating “Back Through the Jeweller’s Shop” alongside my creative ally @jekami_adetiloye (Curator),the same powerful mind I journeyed with on Parable of the Talents 1.0. This exhibition is more than just a presentation of artworks; it’s a testimony to resilience, refinement, and quiet becoming.

Ajibola Adekanmbi’s mixed-media pieces speak from places we all recognize,from the raw edges of struggle to the glimmer of self-belief. Using discarded materials, broken glass, paper, and resin, he reframes what society often calls waste and asks: what if the broken parts of us are where the light truly shines?
⠀
As curators, we’re not just selecting and hanging works, we’re building experiences, creating emotional entry points, and making space for truth to echo. This one? It’s personal. It’s reflective. And it’s proof that art can still move, still heal, still ignite.

To every artist with something to say - your voice matters. To every dreamer in the mud - you are the gem. To everyone fighting self-doubt - keep building.

DAY 1 (Private Viewing) of Parable Of The Talents 1.0 Art & Fashion Exhibition/Popup @parableofthetalent organized by @cdreyworld in partnership with @thoughtpyramidlagos_

I’m so proud of myself to have birthed this idea, my first exhibition/popup. And big thanks to my brother @jekami_adetiloye that make this possible.

To my team who believed in me, and sees the idea with me to make it possible, I say thank you.

I shared this Parable of The Talents idea with the project manager of this exhibition @dahunsi_mayowa and since then he has been pushing me, keeps feeding me with hope that it’s possible and P.O.T.T 1.0 was a success.
