Boat life has its ups and downs. But honestly, I end up only remembering the good times. Being a mariner is deeply ingrained in my very being.

Asphalt, freeways, courtrooms, and fake light have become harder for me to endure. A rough day at sea will always be better than sitting in traffic after a decent day in the office.

What my advice? Quit your job if it doesn't spark joy. Change your life if you feel stuck. Im not a trust fund baby, I just found a way to make it work. You can too.

Fin Whales.

Asymmetrical Coloring, Chevron Stripes, Leviathan Size, Social Behaviors... so many reasons to be in awe.

Seriosuly though, look at the right side of their jaw (white) and compare it to the left jaw (black). Asymmetrical Coloring is relatively rare in the animal kingdom. Enjoy.

Gray Whale Calf.

In 2005, single day count for Gray Whale Calves in San Ignacio Lagoon was five (5). In 2014, that number was one hundred and thirty eight (138).
Seeing a Gray Whale Calf is truly an honor and something to be appreciated.

'Precious' doesn't begin to describe the value of these calves.
