Making his BUZZCUTS RADIO debut, French selector IXÄM steps up at Captain SipSops Barbershop with a hypnotic blend of dub tech and minimal house! 🎛️✨

Hailing from the French coast, IXÄM fell deep into electronic music after watching Berlin Calling as a teenager. While he started digital, his passion truly took off when he picked up two turntables and started collecting vinyl.

Now a self-confessed wax addict, he’s digging deep for underground gems and showcasing rare ‘90s and 2000s cuts over on his Instagram page, @groove.archives 📼🔥

As for his worst trim? Saying “yeah” to everything in a German barbershop and walking out looking like a palm tree 🌴✂️

Making his debut on BUZZCUTS RADIO, Chef Mike brings a world of global influence behind the decks—born in Watford, raised in Portugal, shaped by Manchester, and now based right here on the Sunshine Coast! 🌊🎧

His journey into underground dance music started in Portugal, surrounded by mates building their own local scene. But it was his time in Manchester’s legendary club culture that flipped the switch from passionate listener and record collector to jumping behind the decks himself 🎛️🔥

While house is at the heart of his sound, Mike’s record collection spans everything from minimal, UKG, and breaks to disco, funk, and DnB. The ultimate rule? It’s all about the groove 🕺🥁

Since landing in Australia, he’s become a key figure in the local music community, co-founding Soundtrips @soundtrips_ and bringing people together through their popular Vinyl Lounge series—combining vinyl DJs, local record stores, vintage sellers, and great food 🍕 vinyl & good vibes included!

And as for his worst trim? Walking into a random barber in Carlisle and walking out with an uneven bowl cut so tragic, the next barber fixed it for free 🥣✂️😭

His DJ journey started back in 2011 after a mate dumped a pair of CDJ 800s and an ancient Numark mixer at his share house, leading to plenty of self-taught trial and error 😅

Introducing @joskierobinson at BuzzCuts Radio. 🎧✂️

Born and bred in Noosa, Joskie was raised on the sounds of Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, and the golden era of early-2000s house. With parents who knew how to throw a party, dance music was woven into life from the very beginning. 🪩🌴

In 2017, a long-held ambition became reality when Joskie bought a set of decks and taught himself to DJ. A few tips from friends helped sharpen the craft, while promoting festivals and selling tickets opened the door to the industry—building the connections and dancefloor instinct that continue to shape his journey.

Expect a groove-rich session spanning from new school to deep house. Smooth when it needs to be, driving when it counts, and always built to keep bodies moving. 🔊💈
