Making his BUZZCUTS RADIO debut, French selector IXÄM steps up at Captain SipSops Barbershop with a hypnotic blend of dub tech and minimal house! 🎛️✨

Hailing from the French coast, IXÄM fell deep into electronic music after watching Berlin Calling as a teenager. While he started digital, his passion truly took off when he picked up two turntables and started collecting vinyl.

Now a self-confessed wax addict, he’s digging deep for underground gems and showcasing rare ‘90s and 2000s cuts over on his Instagram page, @groove.archives 📼🔥

As for his worst trim? Saying “yeah” to everything in a German barbershop and walking out looking like a palm tree 🌴✂️

Making his debut on BUZZCUTS RADIO, Chef Mike brings a world of global influence behind the decks—born in Watford, raised in Portugal, shaped by Manchester, and now based right here on the Sunshine Coast! 🌊🎧

His journey into underground dance music started in Portugal, surrounded by mates building their own local scene. But it was his time in Manchester’s legendary club culture that flipped the switch from passionate listener and record collector to jumping behind the decks himself 🎛️🔥

While house is at the heart of his sound, Mike’s record collection spans everything from minimal, UKG, and breaks to disco, funk, and DnB. The ultimate rule? It’s all about the groove 🕺🥁

Since landing in Australia, he’s become a key figure in the local music community, co-founding Soundtrips @soundtrips_ and bringing people together through their popular Vinyl Lounge series—combining vinyl DJs, local record stores, vintage sellers, and great food 🍕 vinyl & good vibes included!
